[ Mark's POV ]
The bell has rung already, signalling the end of my last class and the time everyone longed the most-- dismissal time. I stuffed my things on my backpack, but since our last subject required art materials, it took me a long time.
"mARK LEEEEE~!!!"
Suddenly, someone sang--no, it was more like screamed-- at my ear, surprising me at the process. The paintbrushes I've gathered scattered on the floor. My adrenaline was rushing, along with my heart beating faster.
I put my hand on my ear and turned around to see who it was.
Oh. Donghyuck.
He crouched beside me as he started to help me fix my things.
"Yah, why did you scream at my ear! You surprised me!" I raised my hand in the air, as if I were going to hit him.
"It's a blessing for you to hear this honey-sweet voice of mine, you know. Consider yourself lucky. It's not everyday that the great Lee Donghyuck sings to you," Donghyuck put on a smug look on his face.
I scoffed. Soon after, we were done putting my things back and cleaning the area. I wore my backpack and went towards the door, brushing off any thought of bringing Donghyuck with me.
Unfortunately, he saw me and picked up my pace. Donghyuck slid his arm around my shoulder and leaned towards me.
"So, where do you wanna go?"
I furrowed my eyebrows, "Home. I'm going home. I need to do my--"
Donghyuck cut me off as he shook his head, "Nah-uh-uh. I told you we're hanging out today, right? Also, you need a fresh breath of air for you to forget... you know... easily."
I mentally sighed. He's right though. Even until now, I was still thinking about Jaehyun and Taeyong.
Silly, why am I so affected?
I know it would be unhealthy if I don't try to unwind, so I decided to hang out with Donghyuck. Maybe his noisy and annoying screams would wake me up from this shell.
"Right. Honestly, I don't know where to hang out. Can you decide instead?" I said to him.
Donghyuck knitted his eyebrows, probably thinking of the place we'll be going to. Not long after, his face lit up as though he had a light bulb in his head.
"Aha! Since it's our first time hanging out, why don't we go to Han River? Yanno, Han? One?" he raised his index finger, laughing at his witty idea.
"Sounds good," I rolled my eyes playfully and agreed as we went out of the school gates.
The walk to Han River wasn't that tiring. It was a fifteen-minute walk from school, and the streets were not busy so we had no problems. The weather was cool, just as how I'd always liked it.
The sun has nearly set, so aesthetic hues of orange exploded in the sky. It seems like I wasn't the only one fascinated by the sky, for Donghyuck was staring at it too while we were walking.
"The sky is so beautiful..." he mumbled. His eyes glimmered in awe, his lips slightly ajar due to the beautiful scenery. The sunset rays complemented Donghyuck's tanned skin so well, and I'm not even lying. He seriously looked like a model.
