the first day of university. (my heart still hurts that sm wouldn't allow mark to go)
his heart raced in his chest as he step foot in the unfamiliar building. the scent of freshly painted walls, all types of cologne and perfume overwhelmed him.
"mark!" a voice called out to him.
he turned around to see lucas, jungwoo and jaehyun. mark quickly waddled over to them and gave them a wave.
"our mark and lucas are both so grown up now!"
mark rolled his eyes as he pulled out his timetable. the rest were squabbling over what to get for lunch today.

even though mark's love for english was much greater, he decided it to be a hobby. writing books, poems and lyrics in his spare time. he didn't want english to be too stressful that he would lose interest.
"mark, since you don't have a lecture till the afternoon, come with us!" jaehyun linked hands with mark.
he nodded and step foot outside for the glaring sun to be shining in his eyes.
his face scrunched up in disgust. eyes squinted, nose crinkled.
he despised the sun.

donghyuck was in his final years of high school. he would finally graduate and escape from the hellhole.
he changed. he started to cuss and drink. his attire now consisted of a black leather jacket with skinny jeans. he dyed his hair. he was in a relationship with renjun and it wasn't fake anymore. they were the golden couple of the school.

he forgot about mark.
it happened over time. he cried every night to sleep looking at the room painted with stars. his eyes welled up whenever he saw skittles. the night sky wasn't his escape anymore.
but, he slowly started to forget. his friends always cheered him up. his family became more supportive of his decisions.
he just couldn't shake off the fact that he lied to mark.
a big little lie.
he never even bought a plane ticket to new zealand.
