mark couldn't stop thinking about donghyuck. no matter what he did, everything reminded him of him.

"hey mark. do you want to be partners?" caitlin asked nudging him.

he quickly nodded shaking his thoughts out.

JISUNG-

hi mark, i was wondering if you would want to hang out sometime?

mark furrowed his brows. donghyuck got back together with his friends which probably meant that he was friends with jisung.

"i was thinking maybe the cafe next door?" caitlin interrupted his thoughts.

"oh. yeah sure."

the earthy aroma of coffee overpowered his nose. books laid out all over the table.

after hours of studying, he decided to call it quits. caitlin was an extremely determined worker just like mark. she strived for perfection. her work ethic was unbelievable.

"mark!" a voice erupted in joy.

mark swivelled around to see jisung and chenle.

"so donghyuck is being a little bitch after renjun broke up with him. can we go back to old times sake?" chenle smiled.

renjun broke up with him?

somehow, it felt like it was mark's fault.

"guys, we can never go back to 'old times sake.' people changed, everything has."

it was the honest opinion of mark. everything had changed.

jisung and chenle were in high school. they became more mature, taller and processed their thoughts.

renjun became this little insecure boy after donghyuck.

jeno and jaemin were in their final years of highschool. they were focused.

donghyuck, where could he even start with him?

he felt so close to him yet distant,

because they were on different routes,
