it was the awaited day.

donghyuck's surgery would finally be undergone.

and that led mark sitting on the cold metal bench with the stench of medicine surrounding him. his knees tapped rapidly on the ground.

waiting, and waiting.

he couldn't think straight. thoughts endlessly rushed into his head.

that,

he would be fine.

but it was the world,

unpredictable.

minutes soon felt like hours. mark didn't even know the cold sweat dripping down his forehead.

the mark that was younger would have started writing in his notepad exploding with ideas and inspiration, but this one had started sniffling and sobbing.

there was one thing for sure, he was an ugly crier.

"oh honey, what's got you in such a mess?"

mark still sniffling looked up to see an old lady in a wheelchair.

"my b- friend is in surgery."

his heart exploding out of his chest at this point.

feeling a warm source on his back, he tried to control his breathing.

"sweetie, it's okay. if all goes well, then all goes well. if it doesn't, moving on is the biggest step for both of you. they wouldn't want you to grieve about them not letting you go further in life, would they?"

and, mark burst out in tears once again.

just the utter thought of mark being left on his own, was a sense of betrayal.
