There was once a boy
who had everything.He had looks
that others
could only dream ofHe had a
bright smile that
lit up the dimmest of partiesHe had skill
and athleticism that
called the attention of manyHe had various talents
that would put
so-called prodigies to shameHe was also a boy
who knew everything.He knew how
others' faces would
scrunch up in jealousyHe knew how
others would fake a smile
then gossip behind himHe knew how
everyone was watching
his every moveHe knew how
everyone was waiting
for him to make a mistakeAnd he knew firsthand how
expectations could kill
a personHe knew it...
Without anybody else's help.He died of suffocation
on the noose, after all.
