Tricesimus Quartus

25 1 2

Foolishly I believed
That fate would heed my prayer
That I would never tear

Here I was
And there you were
Unknowing prey and a predator

You showed me face
I gave you my all
What I got — the hardest fall

You left me broken
You tore my heart
That was already repeatedly torn apart

I thought I was strong enough
But truly I was not
You made my walls all for naught

So I thirsted
For a permanent solution
For my idiocy — the ultimate absolution

And finally I got freedom
From this painful mortal prison
I found the answer
As my final tears mixed with crimson
