Chapter 14

We are at the place where beef teriyaki are sold. She was looking around the restaurant and I can see what's written in her eyes. "How often you eat beef teriyaki?" I asked "Very rare sir Jeon. Very rare" she said. Even her favorite food, she can't afford it?

"Mishi, can you tell me about your life? I'm just curious because, your apartment is very small, and it's empty. Just tell me things you know" I said. I'm really curious now. I will be in total shock when she said that she live in the streets before. But I hope it's not

She take a deep breath and started to talk. "When I was 6 years old, my father got addicted to play at casinos and he always loose in bets, that's why he borrowed money on his friends until the borrowed money got into 20 million and he can't pay it. One time, his friend's people robbed us so my father will pay, but since dad has nothing to pay, he got killed. And mom, he got into the situation as well" she said

Her story was terrible. I could see the sadness in her eyes

"Because both of my parents died, my grandmother adopt me and raise me. She work in the market selling fishes and stuff for our everyday needs and then one time, she got lung cancer. We don't have money to operate her so she take medications luckily, she survive in 2 years with medications but she still need to get operated. So what I did is I transfer here in Seoul to study college while working"

While she was telling her story, the waitress came and gave us to bowls of beef teriyaki. One for me, and one for Mishi

"So you mean, your grandmother is still having a lung cancer?" I asked and she nodded

After having dinner with Mishi, i bring her to her apartment and while we were traveling, she was asleep

I could see how challenging her life is, but she still survive everyday

We already arrived at her apartment and I woke her up softly and she woke up

She got of the car and we started to walk
"Sir, I think you should go home right now" Mishi said sleepily "Oh don't mind me" I said with a smile "Sir, thank you for today. But please sir, go home and take some rest" she said. She was acting like a child right now, well no one could refuse her cuteness though

"Ok fine" I said with a sigh and a smile. I go inside my car and left her

Mishi's P.O.V

I go inside my apartment. I sat down in the couch lazily and I am so tired. I was about to close my eyes until my phone rang

I look on the caller's ID and my face lighten up to see it was Moyeon

Mishi: Moyeon!

Moyeon: Oh hi there! You haven't call for ages girl

Mishi: Sorry. I'm just busy with work

Moyeon: Well you're forgiven. By the way, how's your boss?

Mishi: Oh come on Moyeon, we just talked right now and you're gonna bring my boss to the topic?

Moyeon: I'm just asking hahahahaha

Mishi: Aishh you little-

Mishi: Wait

I stand up from the couch holding my phone. Who could be this person be?

I open the door and "Sir Jeon?"
