Chapter 14

My heart was beating furiously as I stared at him. Giving up is hard but to hells with it, I needed to detach myself from such feverous wants and desires. Wanting, is something that I rarely felt. I am not a wanting person. What makes a wanting person? A wanting person is a person who seeks out things in order to feel complete and is always wanting something or someone. Such feeling are what I need to avoid. The draw of objects in order to feel is not how I wish to continue. Grell is a want. I want him and sometimes I fool myself into believing I need him. The trick is I do not need him, not now.

His stupidly dazzling eyes wandered over me. I know he can tell that something is amiss, he is very perceptive at times. He has changed, I can tell that much. I have not been acquainted with his mistress, which I can not help but feel is his doing. A meeting or two perhaps but never anything more substantial than that. In his eyes I see a change. He is in love wither it is a compassionate love or passionate love I do not know but it is there. My heart gives a painful throb, automatically my hand moves over my heart as if to keep it together and stop the pain.

It is then that my dear twins come in. Li Ming came over and picked me up into her arms. Clinging to her I could not help but feel better. Li Hua gave Grell a very tight smile before shooing him out. "Our Mistress has a lot of things to do and entertaining you is not one of them."  He left quietly, surprisingly. Once he was out of my office Li Hua pat my head comfortingly.

Li Hua and Li Ming then took me to my room. They covered me up and began to hum a soothing song. Slowly I fell asleep.

Dream

I looked around and seemed to be in some darker version of my home. "What in goodness..." I called out as I carefully walked around the home. The walls were a dark brown and the curtains were black and let just the barest of light in. I feel somewhere in the world a young man in a cloak with a cursed cat doll was jealous.

"Alexandria! I was looking for you. Darling hurry you need to get into your wedding dress!" Called Meredith. Wait wedding dress! "Wha-" I started to say before she pulled me up the stairs. "No time come on!"

Meredith threw me onto a chair in what seemed to be my bedroom. "Hua Li and Ming Li! Help me get her hair and makeup done." Between all of them they had me done in what seemed hours. It was punishment...if hell was like this...I will pray and be a good little religious lamb.

They then undressed me and put me into a golden dress with rose print on it. It was beautiful...until I started to feel extra heavy. Ughh...dear lord why!? Ming Li then crawled under the dress and made sure my shoes were on correctly. They then placed a veil on me with a few flowers...dead flowers...aww geez. Don't I feel pretty...in case you didn't know that was sarcasm.

Someone save me...
