"shut up you look amazing y/n." your bestfriend daniel says sitting on your bed. you sigh and sit down next to him putting your head on his shoulder. you and daniel have been bestfriends since forever. he has lived nextdoor to you your whole life. he is currently helping you get ready for a date with a guy you met at starbucks.
"ugh im so nervous," you tell daniel while curling your hair. " what if hes a phsyco killer? or worse... hes boring as fuck." you say giggling. " if either one of those things happens just text me and ill come get you." he tells you smiling with his adorable tooth gap on display. you smile at him and finish you hair.
"okay do you have your pepper spray?" daniel asks seriously. "yes daniel i have the pepper spray" you roll your eyes playfully. "okay good and dont do anything you arent comfortable with" he says as you walk to your car. " dont worry daniel ill be fine" you smile at him. "love you y/n be safe" he says finally softening up. " i love you too daniel, ill text you if i need anything." you say pulling out of the driveway. he waves as you drive off
~~ 1 hour later~~
*phone call*
y/n? whats wrong?
*sniffles* can you come and pick me up please?
yes of course im comng right now
t-thank you
*end of call*
you see daniel walk into the resturaunt and you pick up your stuff and walk to him and collapse into his arms. "c'mon y/n give me your keys we can talk about this when we get home. "you look up and ask "you didnt drive here?" he laughs "well i decided to walk around the area t make sure i was there just incase any thing happened." you kiss him on the cheek and he walks you out.
after you get home you sit on the bed and daniel soon joins you. "so what happened?" he finally asks. "nothing happended because he didnt fucking show up!" you say with tears in your eyes. he pulls you into his arms and holds you.
"every guy i go out with nds up being a complete dick." you huff. "y/n you are an amazing girl and deserve to be treated like a princess, these guys are missing out because they dont know the real amazing you. you are an incredible girl and i love you." he says still holding you.
" i love you too daniel" you sigh. "no y/n i mean i really love you, not just as a friend ive been too scared to tell you. you deserve so much more than what these assholes give you. i could give you that if you just gave me a chance."
you stare at him shocked. he has been there for you for every heartbreak and has always given you so much respect. do you love him like that too? you look at him again and realize that the weird flips in your stomach when you look at him have all come to this moment.
you cup his face in your hands and say "i love you too daniel, more than a friend" and then attach your lips to his. the rest is history;)
