!!!! TRIGGER WARNING ALMOST RAPE!!!!!
You were at a house party and everyone was drink and smoking and so you decide to go home before the party got too crazy.
You walked to the party because it was only a few blocks from your dorm and you didn't want to pay for an uber. You walk past an alley way and you hear something move behind you. You walk faster but the thing grabs your arm and pulls you into the dark alley. You try to get away but he slams you into the wall and pins your arms above your head.
"What's a pretty girl like you walking all alone in the dark?" He speaks.
His breath reeks of weed and alcohol. "Get the fuck of me" you reply.
You try to maintain an assertive tone but your voice cracks at the end.
"Now that's not very lady like now is it? I think you need to be punished." He spoke. Again you try to pull away but this time he slaps you in the face. Tears now flow down your face.
"This is a very pretty dress but I think it will look better on the ground." He rips the top of your dress so your chest is exposed. Your hands immediately go to cover your chest but he grabs your arms and pins them to your side.
"If you move or make a sound I will do more than just slap you." He says through gritted teeth.
He moves his hands away and goes to unbuckle his belt and you take this opportunity to run out of the alley way. You look back and see that he's running behind you. You spot a boy about to walk into his house and you sprint up to him and run inside with no hesitation. You look out of the window and see the unknown man drunkenly stumble off.
"What the fuck just happened?" The boy asks. You look at him and are about to say something but you immediately burst into tears. He runs over to your side and picks you up from the floor and sets you on his couch. He rubs your back which helps calm your breathing. He gets up and walks into the other room. A few minutes later he walks in with two mugs full of coffee. "It's decaf so it won't keep you up but coffee always helps." You smile a bit and take the mug from him.
"You don't have to tell me anything right now but when you are ready I'm here." He says sitting down next to you.
You take a few sips of coffee, sit up and clear your throat. "I was walking home from a party and this man pulled me into the alley and tried to r-rape me..." you say and then the tears return. He opens his arms and hugs you. "He was about to take his pants off and I ran and then I saw you so I ran in" you say in between sobs.
"Shh it's okay, you're safe now." He says while tracing small circles on your back. "You can stay here tonight if you don't want to go back to your dorm." He suggests. You nod slowly.
"My names Jonah by the way." He says after a minute of silence. "My names y/n" you reply.
"My sister left some of her clothes the last time she was here so you can borrow them for tonight." He says standing up. He gestures for you to follow him and so you get up and y'all make your way up to his room.
He hand you some clothes and leaves the room so you could change. You take of your clothes and look in the mirror. There's a scratch and a bruise on your collar bone. There's also bruises all over your arms. You can't help but let a few tears fall. After you finish putting on the clothes you head outside.
"Yeah I know bro, I'm not going to let her go back to her dorm it's not safe. I'll just sleep on the floor and she can take my bed.(pause) okay but just be quiet when y'all come home. Don't let Zach break anything like last time." He laughs. "Alrighty then I'll see y'all tomorrow (pause) "yes zach I do love you just put Corbyn back on the phone please.(pause) okay bye tell the boys I said goodnight." He ends the call and turns around and see you. He smiles and then walks into the room with you. "I live with four other guys and I didn't feel like partying tonight so I came home early. Thank god I did though." He says looking into your eyes.
"Okay well you can have my bed and I'll make a pallet on the ground." You were to tired to argue so you got into the bed. He walks out of the room and returns with a huge blanket and pillows and lays them on the floor.
"Thank you Jonah" you say after you are both settled in. "You're welcome, I have a sisters and I would hope someone would help them if they were in that situation." He responds. "Goodnight y/n" he finally says. "Goodnight Jonah" you say yawning.
It's been two hours since you said goodnight and you were still awake. The memories from tonight were racing through your head at 100mph. You just wanted someone to hold you.
"Jonah??? Are you awake??" You whisper. He jumps up from his makeshift bed. "What's wrong y/n are you okay?!?!" He says now wide awake.
"I'm fine I just had a question." He let's put a side of relief and gestures for you to continue. "Could you please hold me?" You say quietly.
"Of course I will y/n" He says and you can hear the smile in his voice. He gets into bed and wraps his arms around you. You immediately feel relaxed. "Now go to sleep y/n" He says pulling you closer. You close your eyes and the thoughts slowly fade away. Tonight was traumatic and you are never going to forget it but you are so grateful that Jonah was at the right place at the right time.
Tomorrow is going to be a new day and the rest is history;)
