You and Zach have been best friends ever since your feshman year of high school. A group of girls "accidentally" spilled their food on you, so you ran out of the cafeteria and he went after you. He calmed you down and helped you feel better. Ever since then, you guys have been inseperable.
Until he and his band took off and you were left on the ground. He promised he would call you every night and he kept his promise for a while, but he was always too busy and soon enough ya'll just stopped talking.
A few months later, you're scrolling though instagram and somehow end up on Zach's page. It seemed to happen quite often. This time, you see that he is coming to Dallas to perform. You wonder what he would do if he saw you there. You decide to take a leap of faith and purchase limelight.
It's finally time for the show, so you get ready and drive to the venue. You get into the limelight line and wait to be let in. Whole waiting, you take a second to look at your surroundings. You see a girl with 'Herron' written on her forehead and you can't help but laugh because you and Zach used to talk about how crazy fans could be. But that was before, now he was almost a stranger. The security gaurds tell everyone to get their tickets out.
After we all check in and stuff, we head into the room to meet the guys. You spot Zach and start to walk over to him, but a group of girls beat you to him. You shrug and go over to Daniel.
"Hi I'm y/n," you introduce yourself. His eyes widen as he looks over at Zach and calls him over. You turn around not wanting to look at him just yet.
Daniel whispers something to him and he says "y/n?". You turn around and smile at him. He grabs your hand and leads you around the corner to a separated area from everyone else.
"y/n I'm so sorry I didn't keep in to-" you cut him off.
"You promised you wouldnt forget about me Zach, you promised," you say as tears form in your eyes. "I get that you were busy, but not even one text." You look down at your feet sadly.
"Look y/n there's a reason I didn't keep in touch," he says pulling your chin up. "A few weeks after I left I thought I could handle being without you for so long, but I missed you so much, and I-I realized that...I love you...and I knew I couldn't give you what you needed while I was on the road so I stopped talking to you thinking maybe I could get you off my mind, but I couldnt," he rambled. "I talked about you all the time with the boys and spent so many nights wishing you were next to me."
I'm so sorry y/n I hope you can forgive me"
You look at him in shock "Zach..."
"I know you probably hate me but that's how I feel," he says lowly.
You don't say anything, but instead you grab his face and connect his lips to yours. The feeling you got from kissing him was so different, but so right. You didn't want it to end, but you knew it had to. You pull away and get up, leaving him smiling at the ground. (pic above)
He gets up and you say, "I love you too Zach...I always have."
He smiles and kisses you again. You hear a few girls asking where he is and you whisper to him that you'll talk after the show. and the rest is history;)
