Chapter 10

**Josh pov**33

Smoke fills the air quickly i see my mom start to get out so I grab Penelope and run out to the lawn. I'm the only one out there so I run back in I see Jen coughing so I throw her over my shoulder and dart outside as I go back in for my mom the building collapses, I freak out. I can't get in so I take Jen and Nellie over to the neighbors house ask them to call 911. When I go back to the house I still don't see my mom I break down to my knees and cry my eyes out. Until I feel a hand on my shoulder it's my mom she looked worried with tears in her eyes and asked where were the girls. I grab her and hug her so tight I tell her they ate fine and I thought she was still in the house. She said that she went back out the back door and to the other neighbors house. The fire department arrive and take us all the hospital Nellie is okay but they wanna run some test on her to make sure her new lung is okay. Jen need oxygen she inhaled a lot of smoke. Mom and I were fine I'm so glad everyone got out ok. They say Jen May lose her voice for a while because her throat is gonna be sore. We all go to a hotel I get my mom a separate room. My dad will be home from his business trip soon. This was the scariest day of my life.

**Jens pov**34

My voice is slowly coming back but today we are going house hunting with Josh's parents since their house isn't fixable. Then tomorrow we are leaving to go to my parents house they were really worried about all of us. Josh has been really stressed since the fire and he's not been sleeping at all. I'm really worried about him.

**Josh's pov**

I'm really tired because I haven't got an sleep lately. Hopefully my parents find a house they like. When we get up I get Nellie I just cradle her and watch her. She so adorable she smiles at me I tell Jen to come over. Jen comes over and she smiles again, she smiles for the first time. Shes 3 months now she's gotten so much bigger and her hair blonde like Jen's and her eyes are hazel like mine. She starts to cry so Jen takes her so she can feed her. So I get ready and get in the shower. While I'm in there I feel really tired and the next thing I remember is me in the hospital.

Jen's pov**35

Josh fainted in the shower today it was really scary we are at the hospital with him now. My mom is coming down to get Ellie because she said we need to relax. We have had a lot of stress lately so I'm grateful that she is doing this. I'm nervous though because Ellie has never been away from us since she got out of the hospital. They say that Josh is gonna be fine but he need rest. So they gave him some sleeping meds so he could rest. They are giving him a small dose of so insomnia medicine so he sleeps better at night. We are going to go home for a while I think we've been traveling a lot lately so my mom is gonna get Penelope today and we are going to get her when we go to the airport in Louisville tonight. Josh is released from the hospital and we say bye to his parents then we get in the car and I drive to Louisville.
