Sarah POV:

"Mom, I don't know..." I started to say walking into my dorm.

Stopping in the middle of my sentence, I took in my surroundings. First off, Ian was not on the bed with his mate, but passed out with a busted head in the corner opposite the bed. A shaking person stood over him ready to throw another blow to Ian. He looked familiar. He was giving Ian everything he had in his hits. A very soft whimper came from the bed. Drawing my attention, I looked as blood was running out of  Ian's mate's wraps.

"Stop." I yelled at the man. I threw up a shield around Ian. Of course, the idiot wouldn't stop. He kept hitting against the shield around Ian. When he realized he wasn't making anymore damage, he turned toward me.

"How dare you protect this murderer??" The young man started to stalk towards me. Before he could raise his hand to hit me, Evan was there. He yanked him away from me. His hand went around his neck. Throwing him against the ground, Evan looked at me smirking.

"Your welcome," He winked.

Rolling my eyes, I ran over to Ian. He was still breathing. Evan soon had the man pinned to the ground. The man tried to push him off and shift, but Evan was slowly soficating him. The man growled.

"My pack will take vengence for my father and I's death. How dare you take the side of a murderer? He betrayed his pack."

"Who said we were going to kill you? I might want to torcher you a bit." Evan's hands loosened a bit.

"Evan," I hissed, "don't egg him on anymore.Help me get Ian over to his mate."

"Sarah," Evan sighed looking at his prisoner. The man had grown still and started blinking looking around confused. It was like he finally noticed the bloody body on the bed. Then, he looked at Ian against the wall.

"Please, Evan," I tried to pick up Ian.

"No, it can't be true. His father couldn't have." The man on the ground kept looking between the two.

"Mom, thank goodness you are here. Help me get Ian over to his mate." I ignored him when I saw my mom appeared right beside the bed. She looked at his mate.

"Sarah, it is too late. She is..." My mom looked at me and I didn't want to believe her so I ignored her.

"Evan, help me," I growled out trying to lift a limp body.

"Sarah, I know you don't want..." Evan looked at me with sadness.

"Shut up," I dragged his body a few inches.

My eyes started to blur. Before I realized it, the man picked up Ian out of my arms and placed him on the bed. He ,then, did something that I didn't expect.

"Awaken his wolf," I heard him demand looking at Ian.

"Excuse me," My mother looked at him crazy.

"Awaken his wolf," He grunted out.

"His wolf is probably already gone or will only cause more harm." My mother explained.

"Do it, now," He growled out.

"Ok," She sighed moving her hand to rest on Ian's heart.

Before I knew what happened, Ian was shifting. The young man grabbed his snout and opened his mouth forcing to clamp down on his shoulder. Marking her.

"What are you doing? You don't know what that will do. He will not survive now." My mom looked at him like he was crazy.

"He won't survive without his mate. So if there's a chance for this to save her. I have to try it. He would want me to save her." The young man looked at Ian with remorse.
