Compton's Trillest: Chapter 4
~2 Years Later~
"I want a cookie." I said as I stared at the cookie jar with a look like I was about to fuck shit up if I didn't have the cookie. "But I'm too short. Mommy!"
I know. I'm 8 and have a terrible mouth. When you're in these alley's you tend to learn some terms you shouldn't learn till you're way older but oh well.
"Here." She handed me a cookie and I had a slight sugar rush just from looking at it. I absolutely love sugar. Any kind of sweet treat you could think of, I loved. "What are you going to do today?" She asked.
"I want to go to Arlie's house and see if he wants to hang out." I took a bite of my cookie and had a smile from ear to ear as the chocolate melted on my tongue.
"Go ahead, I didn't see him come out yet when I went to water the plants so he must be home." I nodded my head and walked out the front door. I crossed the street and walked down to his house.
I walked up the steps and knocked on the door since the dumb doorbell was too high. Why was everything so damn high for me? Was I really that short?
"Aye Auburn, what's up?" Aldo said as he opened the door with a yawn.
"Is Arlie home?" He nodded his head. "Arlie come to the door, you got a visitor." He smiled at me one last time before stepping aside for Arlie.
"Yeah fuck you too Ramon." I heard him snap before he turned around and smiled at me. "Hey what's up?" He said in a sweet voice.
"I thought maybe we could hang out today." I looked at him and saw he was all beat up. "What happened to you?" I asked with worry.
"Yeah we can hang, let me get my hat real quick." I nodded my head and waited for him. "Alright lets go. We can just walk around for a little while." He said as he closed the door behind him.
"So what happened?"
"I was jumped into a gang with another kid a few days ago. Then a couple days before I was jumped, two of my other friends were jumped in too." Oh fuck that.
"This is going to sound dumb, but does it hurt?"
"Not anymore. I'm used to the pain now. You should give me a piece of that cookie." I completely forgot I was still holding it. I split it in half and gave the part that wasn't already missing a piece to him. "Thanks."
"Your welcome. So are you scared about being in a gang now?"
"Nah. I ain't scared of a damn thing Auburn." That is true. I've never seen him scared of anything.
"I'd be hella scared if I were you."
"I know you would. You're too sweet to be in a gang." I could be in one. "Ima start calling you Sweet Cheeks. It suits you, not only are you sweet but you always got some kind of sweet treat stuffed in those cheeks of yours." He said as he pinched my cheek.
"I like that name. Well then you need a nick name too."
"I already got one. You been usin' it ever since you could talk." He laughed.
"Arlie?" He nodded. "Then what's your real name?"
"Trell Jr. But I like Arlie. You got Sweet Cheeks and I got Arlie." This is why I liked hanging with Arlie. He was so funny, kind, and dare I say a little cute.
Okay really cute.
"Alright. We should sneak into the fairgrounds." He looked at me confused.
"You realize we would have to hop a fence right?" I nodded my head. "I 'ont think you're cut out for something like that."
