~2 Years Later~

So I'm 10.

My best friend is Arlie. We hang out a lot which is always fun and today was the day he promised I'd meet his friends. I had to wait 2 years but it was worth it.

I put some mousse in my curly hair and put a headband on before I slipped on my shoes and headed outside. Mommy was down the street talking to one of the neighbors so I made my way to Arlie's house.

"Aye Sweet Cheeks, what's good?" He asked as he sat on his porch.

"I wanted to hang out with you." By hang out, I mean meet your friends.

"Alright, let's head to the other hood. I'm sure my friends are already outside anyways." He got off his chair and followed me off his porch. "Go through this alley." He pointed to the one next to his house and I followed him.

"Your friends are nice right?"

"Sweets I wouldn't let you meet 'em if they weren't nice." He said with a chuckle. We emerged on the other side and there were a lot of kids playing in the streets. I saw a game of basketball being played, as well as street hockey and soccer all on this one street.

"So where are they?"

"They aren't here. They're at the corner store." I nodded and walked right next to him. "Finally keeping up with me?" He smiled.

"Yes I am." Thank God he has a slow stride to his walk, otherwise I wouldn't be able to keep up. I grabbed onto his arm and he just laughed.

"What are you doin' now?"

"Nothing." He's really cute, so yes I want to touch him, problem?

*Pause*

"Yes."

"Varo I didn't know you yet. Knock it off. I heard how jealous Lexis was of Nelle's childhood-"

"Whoa. I ain't ever jealous. Nah, that word isn't even apart of Varo's Dictionary. You said problem, and I said yes. That don't mean I'm jealous cause I ain't. Now if you fucked him, we'd have a real big problem."

I think he's jealous. That's just sad.

*Continuing*

"Sweets you're too cute sometimes." He said with a small shake of his head.

"I try." I shrugged my shoulders.

We continued to walk all the way down to the corner store, as I held onto his arm, and we were laughing the whole way. When we showed up, there were 4 of them.

"Sup?" Arlie said as he dapped them. "So this is my friend Auburn but call her Sweet Cheeks. You'll learn why she got that name once you get know her." They were all really cute but the one with green eyes stood out the most, wait. No. The really tall one did.

"Aye Sweet Cheeks, I'm Lexis, this is Varo and that's Javier." He said as he pointed to them.

"Hi." I said a little shyly. "Are you all in Arlie's Gang too?" I noticed a corner of a red bandana from Lexis' pocket.

"Yeah. Varo and I were jumped the same day and Javier was jumped with Arlie a few days later." Lexis said.

"Oh shit, that's terrible." I said and Varo laughed. "What?"

"Nah it ain't a damn thing. I just found it funny that you swore. Most girls yell at me when I swear so to hear a girl swear, that's pretty fuckin' funny."
