"No""Lucifer-"
"I said no"
This man was one of the most irritating human being I have ever met, and this goes above my parents. He had been arguing with Monte for the past day about this little mission we had going on. I refused to stay behind, and Lucifer refused to let me come with them. Now, he made a point that I wouldn't stay alone for my security, but he also didn't want me coming in. We were at the point where we didn't know what was worse: bring me in and risk getting killed? Or leave me hidden outside and risk getting caught?
What a shit show
"What do you suggest then?" Monte asked, nursing a bottle of beer. It was around noon by the time we all woke up and they started going at it. I was still in my sweatpants and tank top he had given me the night before, trying to shake the exhaustion off my shoulders, cross-legged on the couch while I watched them bicker.
"We tie her up and hide her in the basement" Lucifer said, and Monte and I groaned in sync.
"You're seriously a caveman" I mumbled, crossing my arms.
"I don't remember asking for your opinion" Lucifer snapped back and I offered him my unmanicured middle finger.
"You wanna tie her up and leave her here. Right. Have you even thought about what would happen if it all goes to hell and we get killed? Who's gonna come back and let her go?" Monte asked with raised eyebrows, but somewhat amused. Lucifer shrugged.
He fucking...shrugged.
I raised an eyebrow
"I mean...if we're getting killed for her, its only fair she does the same for us" he said.
Something about that statement seem fitting.
"I'm not fucking staying" I repeated
"We can bring her, man. Her idea is good. They won't see it coming. If she's in the building, she can let us in. Unless you have a better idea to break inside a building swimming with security and go unnoticed" Monte tried to reason with Lucifer, but he wasn't having it.
"You seriously think she's gonna be able to pull that off? She accidentally shot me in the arm, she doesn't know how to fight, and I don't see her confronting a guard anytime soon. She's not Mel, she's not trained for this kind of shit" Lucifer said and I straightened my back. Low blow...
"I may not be Mel, but I want to survive, which means I'd do anything" I said and the men turned to look at me.
"That's not enough to live through this. You may have all the intensions, but if you don't even know how to fight, you wouldn't be helping us. You'd be dragging us down" Lucifer said and Monte eyed him.
"Then teach me" I said and Lucifer chuckled humorlessly
"We don't have time for lessons, Emma. They're up our asses. We can barely leave this place unannounced" Lucifer said, looking away.
"Okay, so you don't want to teach me, so I can learn how to defend myself but then you complain about my abilities?" I asked, completely offended.
"She's right, man" Monte added
"No. This is the end of the fucking discussion. You're not coming, it's too dangerous, you're gonna get us all killed. You're not trained like-"
"Mel? Anything else you wanna throw in my face? I fucking get it. I'm useless, got it" I snapped and stood up, walking away as quickly as my legs allowed me to. I did hear Monte murmuring to Lucifer 'you're a fucking idiot' right before I walked inside the room I slept in and closed the door behind me.
