Tea Time Talk

Malinda knocked on the door with her free hand. It had only been seconds after knocking when the door swung open. Standing there holding the door open was a tall raven haired man. By looks off his clothes you would assume he was the butler.

"Sorry for the delay in opening the door. We were not expecting you to arrive early." The butler smiled bowing at you slightly.

You gave him a kind smile, "It was no problem at all, we just hope we are not inconveniencing you with our early arrival." you replied while walking into the manor.

Malinda closed the umbrella and followed in behind you, helping you take off coat. Sebastian quickly took the coat and umbrella from Malinda and placed them in the closet by the door. "If you are ready, I shall lead you to the young lord."

"Then let us be off." You responded with a nod.

"Right this way, Sir." Sebastian began leading the way, you followed behind motioning for Malinda to quickly follow.

It took a short walk through the manor, which during that time you were able to admire the beauty of it. Sebastian stopped, opening a glass door leading outside.

You walked out to be met by the sunlight and it was everywhere. Well, at least that is how it seemed to you. You squinted your eyes at the light, your eyes only widened as you felt the hash rays of light on your fair skin.

Yes, you were bad with the sun. Your skin was very fair and you burned ridiculously easily. You always felt as though you were on fire whenever the sun shined on you, even though we all know you weren't, it was just the sun.

Remembering that your sun umbrella was back inside in the closet you let a sigh of annoyance slip past your lips as you walked over to the shade of the trees and tall bushes.

Malinda, who had seen your reaction had to stifle a laugh.

Sebastian walked over and lead you to the center of the garden where Ciel was waiting at a beautiful table filled with lavish treats and tea. Sadly you could not enjoy the sight due to the fact that there was no shade in the center of the garden, which you found quite troublesome. Out of the corner of your eye you could see Malinda's wiry grin as she looked at you.

'Curse you Malinda, finding my suffering entertaining...' you thought bitterly. You really didn't want to go out there.

Sebastian observed your slight hesitation, "Is there any problem, Sir?"

You and Malinda both gave each other a quick glance. You both were thinking the same thing.

That butler was VERY observant.

You gave him one of your most convincing smiles, "Not at all." You walked over to the table and took a seat. Of course you had no plan on burning and giving Malinda the joy of watching your discomfort. "Malinda." You called for her quickly.

"Yes Sir?"

"Come stand next to me." you said motioning next to you. You had carefully calculated the direction of the sun and had Malinda stand directly where you planed to block the sun from hitting you.

Malinda noticed this fact and smirked,

'Just like my Master to do something like this...' she laughed to herself before standing where told.

Ceil raised an eyebrow at your behavior before shaking it off, "Hello, I am Ciel Phantomhive. Owner of this manor, as you most likely already know. I am glad to see that you were able to arrive here safely. How was your trip here?" Ciel questioned. He tried to start the conversation as nicely and diplomatically as possible.

You bowed your head slightly and Malinda gave a full bow.

"My name is Alan, heir of the Ravenwood family business as I'm sure you know. On another note the trip here was rather pleasant." You lied being sure to smile and keep the mood in tact.

Sebastian bowed back to the two of you while Ciel just nodded his head. "That is good to hear." He smiled back at you. "Sebastian, how about you serve tea?"

Sebastian bowed, "As you wish My Lord. Shall it be the usual today as well?"

"But of course."

Sebastian nodded and poured Ciel's cup of tea, turning to face you."And what would you like Sir?"

You just shook your head, "No need to make more tea, I will just have some Earl Grey like Sir Phantomhive."

"Excuse me for asking Sir, but how did you know it was Earl Grey without seeing or tasting it?" the butler asked as he poured your tea.

"The fragrance." you answered simply.

"I see." A smirk spread across his face and it reminded you of Malinda's sarcastic smirk. You inwardly growled, but were careful to still look happily outwardly.

"Sebastian." Ceil called for his butler. Sebastian gave you a bow and walked over to stand beside his master.

"On another note..." Ciel continued, "May I ask why you brought a maid with you? As a well..."

"Man?" You asked, butting in.

"Yes I suppose that is what I was trying to say. That being said, would a butler not be more fitting?"

You inwardly laughed, it was funny how simple it was to deceive people into thinking you were a man.

"That may be true, but you see Malinda is technically the head butler." Malinda gave a small bow. "And the other butler is currently sick." You concluded.

Of course you were lying, after all... you had no butler. But the dark blue haired boy didn't seem to notice. His butler on the other hand, you did not like how watchful he was.

"I suppose that makes sense. I hope he gets better."

You inwardly laughed again at how simple it was to trick people into believing you.

You took a sip of your tea and it was simply delicious, but you no time to admire it's taste. Placing your tea cup back onto it's saucer you addressed Ciel. "Sir Phantomhive, I hate to rush things but my I inquire on why you have invited me here today?" You gave yet another fake smile. My goodness it was so tiring to remain so chipper...

"But of course." I smiled back at the boy in front of me giving him a kind smile. This was rather bothersome and I wish I didn't have to do it (all the smiling was so troublesome).

However I do not have the luxury of that choice. The queen had noticed the rising status of the Ravenwood household and thought it would be a good idea to become on 'good terms' with them and see if they would be willing to assist her and her kingdom. Stuff like that.

So here I was trying to talk to this seemingly pleasant and chipper son of the Ravenwood family, wasting my time. On the other hand Sebastian seemed to be enjoying himself. Seriously I do not understand why he is smirking so much... oh well.

I turned my eyes back to the boy in front of me. He was talking to his maid... what was her name again, Malinda?

He turned to face me with that annoying smile back on his face,"Excuse me Ciel, but do you think it would be okay if my maid was to fetch one of my things?" he asked.

"Of course. Sebastian..." I called over my shoulder, "Will you lead Malinda back to their stuff?"

"Of course my lord." he stated before turning to Alan's maid and motioning towards the door, "Please follow me..."

The two servants walked away and left me alone with this overly friendly Alan, though I cannot say I miss his maid either. She was also too chipper for my liking.

I gave a slight cough, it was about time I did what the queen asked and got this meeting over with. Gaining back the attention of Alan I continued from where I had left off, "So as I was saying before the reason I had invited you here is becau-"

All of a sudden there were a bunch of loud noises and crashes coming from inside the manor.
