Sir Alan Ravenwood, that was you.
Or was it?
Truthfully it was just your alias. Not that you could just brush it off either, after all... it WAS who you were, true or not. You were, in fact, Alan Ravenwood...
Whether you wanted to admit it or not.
You glanced out the carriage window at the ridiculously gorgeous day... how sickening. You quickly looked away from the window letting a slight 'tch' noise escape past your lips in annoyance.
"Is anything wrong, my lord?" You turned your to the seat across from you facing the person who had spoke, your maid Malinda. Well, truthfully she was the head butler, but you just found the title 'maid' more fitting.
"Nothing." You replied dryly. Looking at the window with disgust. Malinda followed your eyes giving a slight chuckle. She knew you had a distaste for days... such as this. She quickly reached over closing the curtain in one swift movement.
"My apologizes for not closing it earlier (Your name), it had slipped my mind." You sighed crossing your legs and resting your cheek on your hand.
"I believe I told you never to call me (your name) again, after all, I am now Alan Ravenwood." you growled, shooting a glare at her.
She just gave you her usual sicking wiry smile "My apologizes, 'Sir'~" she said, making an emphasis on the word 'Sir' causing you to roll your eyes.
"But..." she continued, reaching over and grabbing your cheeks, "You MUST remember to smile my Lord, frowning is no good for these situations~" she cooed, pulling your cheeks to make lips move into something resembling a smile.
You swatted her hands away, "I know full well how I must act today..." you muttered looking away for a few seconds. By the time you looked back you had the kindest smile and your eyes closed into happy arches.
...It was the most convincing fake smile anyone would most likely ever see...
"Is this better Malinda?" your voice rang out, kind yet sounding important and empowered.
Malinda chuckled, "Much better my Lord." She praised. "After all, such an act is only appropriate for an occasion such as this..." she said whilst pushing aside the windows curtain and peeking outside, "We are almost at are destination..." she told you. She closed the curtain glancing down at her pocket watch,
"It is 7:19."
"Then I do believe we shall be arriving, slightly early..." you hummed tapping your hand impatiently on the seat. You just wanted to get this over with as quickly as possible.
And just where are you going? Of course your going to the Phantomhive Estate to meet over a cup of tea with Ciel himself.
Malinda quickly flipped her pocket watch closed shoving it back into her pocket, "It's time..." she said plainly, readjusting your bow tie before opening the door to the carriage for you.
"May I say how marvelous you look in your suit, my Lordship?" She asked sarcastically, knowing it annoyed you saying things like that.
After all, well, let's just say things were complicated...
"My umbrella." You responded blandly, ignoring her last remark. She bowed her head slightly before pulling out a black umbrella. It was a strange umbrella, it would do nothing against the rain, after all, the cloth was only used to block the sun's rays from getting to you on days such as this. After she opened the umbrella and held it up for you, you stepped out of the carriage, walking in the umbrella's shade to the door of the estate.
"Now remember, you must smile~" Malinda said looking down at you with a smirk.
"But of course~" you replied, looking up with her with yet another brilliant smile as she knocked on the door.
