3rd POV
[Name] found herself, yet again, loitering nervously—this time outside the towering door belonging to class 1-A, her feet shuffling under her in a shy manner.
One week ago she had received her letter from the hero school, and with 60 points on her name, she managed to land a direct spot into the hero course. Albeit the considerable shock that swallowed her whole, she felt prepared.
[Name] was quite surprised that destroying the robots was not the sole way to gain points; rescuing people was also an option.
And due to the fact that she had saved the blonde teen—Mirio—from harm, [Name] was rewarded extra points after paralysing ten or eleven more robots.
Nevertheless, she was still a bundle of nerves outside the door, unable to gather confidence to walk in with her head high above her shoulders.
'Why am I always like this? Why won't you move feet-!'
"Hey, if it isn't Miss Butterfly!"
"H-Hey Mirio, don't just shout like that..."
A pair of familiar voices buzzed in [Name]'s ears, muffled shuffling accompanying the two voices. She whipped her head around almost instantly, her shiny [h/c] locks twirling in the process as well.
Mirio and Tamaki ambled towards the door where she stood with her feet glued to the ground, the two standing on her opposite.
The blonde bore a goofy grin with his dark blue oval orbs brimming—ecstatic and full of energy—his rich blonde hair pushed upwards in a cowlick while Tamaki; his lips were bent solemnly and quivering slightly but he appeared to be less agitated when [Name] had encountered him back at the exam.
[Name] somehow found her eyes flickering towards his rather pointed ears that popped out from the dark strands of his hair.
It was kind of adorable, and it suited him well. She didn't know him for long—not even for an hour—but she found that feature of him to be quite eye-catching.
Tamaki seemed to notice her stare and fidgeted timidly with his hands, his lips slowly opening,
"C-Could you not stare at me like that please? I-It's kind of..." he didn't finish, a pink hue of embarrassment coating his cheeks.
Heat journeyed to [Name]'s cheeks. She coughed, clearing up her throat, "S-Sorry, I didn't mean to stare like that."
"Haha! Looks like you've got a new friend, Tamaki and we haven't even started class yet," Mirio teased with his beady orbs flashing, delivering a light smack to the dark haired teen's back.
"I-It's not like that..."
"Relax, I'm only playing with you," Mirio laughed aloud, his energetic character surprising [Name]. "So looks like you got into the hero course too, Miss Butterfly."
"[Surname] [Name]," she blurted, a tinge of sourness at the name Mirio called her. "I-I go by [Surname] [Name]."
"Well why didn't you say so earlier, [Surname]-san? I'm Togata Mirio." He then pointed his thumb towards Tamaki, who jolted, "And he's Amajiki Tamaki—we've known each other since we were kids." Tamaki nodded in acknowledgment, his somber expression morphing into a more pleasant and less wary look.
"It's nice to meet you both," [Name] squeaked and Mirio extended his hand towards her in a beckoning gesture. She shook his hand and Tamaki followed suit, his long, thin fingers wrapping around the [h/c] haired maiden's smaller ones. His hand was a bit clammy but she didn't mind—she could tell he was still nervous.
