Running.

It's all you've known so far, and you definitely weren't stopping. With eyes lit aflame, you battled your way through the sea of villains. One, two, three—one pummeled toward you at breakneck speed, brandishing a knife from their pocket. Silver flashed in your face and all it took was a twist on your feet and a punch to the gut to have him reeling on the floor, spit dribbling past his lips. One, two, three—another one. Another quick jab, another bitter fall. Powder accumulated in your hands and you scattered the particles like fine dust, watching each approaching villain stagger to their knees.

'Run. Don't stop.'

'Don't you dare stop.'

"They're waiting for you," you breathed, the sound of your blood thick in your ears. 'Everyone's waiting for you.'

'Tamaki's waiting for you.'

To your right, noise buzzed in your ear like static. You hurried to the wall separating you from the hallway, the sound of fast, angry approaching steps growing louder by the second. You tensed at the sound and ducked out of view, sticking close to the wall.

You gnashed your teeth together.

"Hurry, he'll kill us if we don't find her."

"It's not even our fault this time! He's the one who screwed up, why should we be cleaning up after his mess?"

A hiss. "Shut up! Do you want him to hear you? Just find the damn bitch already!"

"I hope we get paid for this..."

A shockwave made the entire building shudder.

"Ugh, those heroes are ruining everything."

"Hurry up man!"

Once the voices vanished, you peered down the hallway and narrowed your eyes at the two junctions. Great, a cold storage my ass. This place's got a more complicated layout than U.A. After deciding it was safe to move and with no villain in sight, you slunk from your position and leapt into another mad dash down the hallway.

Until an alarm shrieked like a banshee.

"Shit."

In an instant, a motley throng of villains emerged from the narrow corner, spilling over like an army of ants. Some pointed their weapons at you, sharp metal glinting menacingly, while those wielding their quirks waited at the rear. Waiting for what, you didn't know. But you weren't just going to stand by. The ground floor was only four floors away—it felt like you had been running for a millennia from the fatigue weighing down your legs like lead—and giving up now would mean giving up on your freedom. You were pretty sure at least fifteen minutes had passed since you'd bolted away from King and the rest, and now knowing that the necromancer was the one who truly wanted you to be captured, she wasn't going to let you get away so easily. King either. From the looks of things, he couldn't refuse her. All he'd done was throw empty threats around, but he'd never lifted a finger against her.

That woman had some power over your father, and you needed to know why.

Still... Why did she need you? Specifically your body. You'd tried to think of a reason but nothing came to mind. You didn't even know the bloody woman; you didn't even want to think of what she could do to you given her Quirk. Hopefully she'd stay out of commission until the Pro Heroes got to you.

Hopefully.

You gnawed on the inside of your cheek.

'They're never going to get away with this, and if it's the last thing I'll do, I'll stop that man if I have to. And if they're so desperate for me to become a villain, or whatever they want to me to be, I'll just have to use force. Right now I just have to focus on reaching the heroes, nothing else, nothing more.'
