JaeEun's POV
(Next day)
I was making myself coffee for the morning since I slept late. I put the little store bought a packet of coffee and spilled it into the mug. I took water from the cooler and put it inside of the machine.
As I waited for the water to boil, I thought of what happened yesterday night. 'Was it him that leaned in for the kiss or was it me? Or was it both of us? What would he be thinking right now? Oh, he picked up his family last night. He must be occupied with them. I hope Mr. Kim won't do any-' my thoughts were cut off by the vigorous sound of the doorbell ringing multiple times.
'Who could that be?' I thought to myself.
I stood up from leaning against the counter and headed to the front door. As I was walking, the loud noise of the bell continued. I yelled a loud 'Coming!' so that they would know I was coming and would stop ringing to bell.
Once I reached the door, I opened it quickly and my eyes widened in surprise. My mouth hung open and I wasn't able to proses a single, letter from the amount of shock I was experiencing at the moment.
It was...
Jungkook POV
I walked into the kitchen where my mother was cooking some homemade Korean breakfast which I hadn't had in a long time. I wanted to introduce them to Hoseok but he wasn't there. He told me last night that he was going on a trip overnight somewhere and said he would be back in 2 days. Jungsik and I talked all night about all the things that had happened to us in the years that we weren't with each other. I told him about JaeEun and he was happy that I have someone like her as well as my hyungs.
He told me about everything that happened while they were in America. Jungsik said that times were rough but he had to keep a good face for our mother. Whenever they tried to escape or get out of Texas, Mr. Kim would always find a way to keep them where they were. To be honest I felt very guilty that I couldn't do anything for my family while they were experiencing these things. I let Mr. Kim take advantage of me and I sat back and let things happen like an idiot.
If it wasn't for JaeEun, I would not have seen my family for many more years. I am very grateful to her for that.
"Jungkookie! Jungshie! Come and eat, I finished breakfast." My mother yelled since she didn't know I was standing in the kitchen. I smiled at the thought of my mother doing the same thing when I was younger. I chuckled a little at the remembrance of the silly nickname mom gave to my brother. 'Jungshie.'
"Omma, I'm right here," I said as she quickly turned around and looked at her but then smiled at me in a motherly way.
"Oh! Jungkookie you're right here! Ok well go call Jungshie, breakfast is ready." She said and put the plates down on the table.
"Arasso Omma," I said and left the kitchen and went to the bathroom to see if Jungsik was there. I knocked on the door and asked if he was in there. "Jungsik, are you there?" I asked.
"Ya, I'll be right there. I heard Omma already." He slightly yelled from the bathroom.
"Ok." I smiled at the fact that I was going to eat breakfast with my family again for the first time in years.
JaeEun's POV
It was my parents standing proudly in front of me as if they were here for their daily visit. My mother looked well dressed, last time I remember we weren't that well off. My father was wearing an expensive looking suit. But I shook away my investigative thoughts and spoke.
