Moritz paced back and forth next to Ernsts hospital bed. "Where the hell is hanschen?"  He anxiously thought to himself as he stopped and leaned against the windowsill, tapping his toes on the hospital floor impatiently. "M-moritz?" Ernst choked out in a quiet, weak voice. "What's up?" moritz absentmindedly replied as he continuted to stare out the window in worry. "Whens h-hanschen gonna get here?" Ernst asked curiously. Moritz walked away from the window and bent down beside Ernsts bed, patting him on the shoulder.

"Soon, very soon."

Hanschen sped down the highway, almost crashing into multiple cars as he was going far above the speed limit. He continued down the highway until he saw the hospital in the near distance. He swerved off of the highway, onto his exit, and into the hospitals parking lot. His whole body was shaking as he found a parking spot and stepped out of his car. He quickly approached the tall, brick building and entered the front lobby. The air was stale, and reeked of various medicines and disinfectants. He approached the front desk and shyly spoke, "Hi, im here to see Ernst Robel." He asked the lady behind the desk as she began to flip through charts. "And you are?" She impatiently but kindly asked as she tried to find Ernst's room number. "I'm his um..." he thought for a moment, and then blurted out what first came to his mind: "boyfriend!" He internally slapped himself, "why did i say that?!" He thought flustered as she continued sorting through charts and directed him to room 420. (A/N: Ayyy) He awkwardly walked away from the desk and briskly started down the hallway, quickly glancing at the room numbers as he walked by.

He jolted to a halt as he reached door 420. This was it: the boy he loved was behind that door. The same boy that walked out of his life and left him empty and helpless all those years ago,

But he was back.

His hand shook uncontrollably as he reached for the doorknob, took a deep breath: and swung the door open. He almost dropped to his knees as he saw Ernst. God, what a sight. Moritz rushed past hanschen and out of the room to give them their privacy, and hanschen ran up to Ernsts bedside. They stood there awkwardly, staring wide-eyed at each other until Hanschen broke the scilence. "H-hey" hanschen choked out as he continued to stare at the wide eyed boy. Ernst began to tear up, and in a few seconds: he was sobbing completley. Hanschen bent down slowly and pulled Ernst into a hug, which he imeediatley accepted and hugged back tight. "I-i-im s-so s-s-sorry" Ernst choked out between sobs as his tears rolled onto Hanschens shoulder. "I know babe. I know." Hanschen replied reassuringly as he rubbed his back and continued to let him sob into his shoulder. As ernst began to calm down, he gathered his thoughts and began to speak. "Moritz told me exactly what happened. Im so sorry for leaving you like that, i swear to god i had no idea. I-i don't know what to say. I hate myself for what i did. If i only i could-" Ernsts rambling was cut off by hanschen softly pressing his lips onto his, and sure enough: he imeediatley kissed back. Hanschen moved his hands down to Ernsts waist and Ernsts hands traveled up to his hair. They passionatley kissed for what felt like an eternity until they pulled away for air. They intertwined their hands, shyly smiling at each other as hanschen got into the hospital bed with Ernst and spooned him. Ernst nuzzled into his chest, like it was a pillow or blanket. "It's ok" hanschen whispered into his ear. "I forgive you." Those three words were powerful enough to earn a jerk of tears from Ernst again. "P-promise me you'll never let go" he stuttered out as he held hanschen close.

"I promise." He softly answered. Ernst smiled at him and his eyes began to droop. Soon enough: he had fallen asleep in hanschens arms,

Just like he had done 5 years ago.
