Hanschen slowly got off of Ernst, sobbing uncontrollably. He gripped Ernsts hand and bent down to kiss his forehead. He never wanted to leave his side, but he knew the time had come.
Hanschen was still sobbing as ernsts eyes began to fill up with tears once more. He motioned hanschen closer, and whispered in his ear again."I love you: i will always love you"
Hanschen sobbed even harder and pulled ernst tightly to his chest. The doctor and hanschen began to fight as he tried to pry him away from Ernst. They continued to go back and forth, screaming and throwing punches until it became so heated that hospital security had to come and take him away. Ernst watched through puffy, teary eyes as his love was dragged away. As the bulky, tall men dragged him along by his shoulders, he uttered the last and only words that would ever mean anything to Ernst:
"I love you!"
And with that, hanschen was dragged out of sight.
Ernst slowly layed back down in his hospital bed, tears running down his cheeks.
"Mr. Robel, i...im..." the doctor stuttered out as he tried showing sympathy
"Don't." Ernst replied in a cold voice. "We all gotta die sometime."
The doctor sighed, and hesitantly pulled a plug with shaky hands. the sound of Ernsts heart monitor flatlining pierced the air instantly.
He was officially gone.

Hanschen didn't get any sleep that night. He lay awake in his bed, paralyzed: staring at his wall with glazed over eyes. All that could run through his mind was "why?" "WHY did it have to be Ernst? WHY couldn't it have been melchior or someone: ANYONE else?"But he had to face facts: Ernst was gone. He slowly sat up in his bed and stared at the clock: 4 am. He lifelessly trudged out of bed, popping his earbuds in and walking out of his apartment. He silently walked up the stairs of his complex until he reached the door to the roof. He sighed, slowly pushing it open. He hesitantly walked out onto the roof, taking in a heaving breath of the cool, night air. He continued walking along the rooftop until he reached the edge, taking in the scenery in front of him. It was beautiful:
Too bad he wouldn't be alive much longer to enjoy it.
He shakily walked even closer to the edge, letting the last song he would ever hear fill his ears.
"He woke up from dreaming and put on his shoes"
"Started making his way past 2 in the morning"
"He hasn't been sober for days"
"Remembering sunday he falls to his knees."
He sighed deeply and let the song continue. He took in the scenery and the crisp night air one more time, before turning his back to the ledge:
"See you soon my love."
And with one step backwards, he was gone too.
