S I X

{Phil's pov}

"Goodbye,"

Dan turns away with his luggage and walks out the door, not even turning around to see if I reply. I watch as he pushes his suitcase in and gets into the uber. As the uber drives away I feel tears rolling down my cheeks.

"Dan, come back," I mumble to myself, feeling the hot tears drip down my face and through my shirt.

"Phil, calm down, I'm right here."

I squint my eyes to see Dan leaning over me in the dark his worried face scanning my wet cheeks and puffy red eyes.

"Calm down, I'm not going anywhere, I'm here."

Dan leans back and sits on the edge of my bed, I sit up and wipe the tears from my face.

"It was only a dream then?"

"It was only a dream, Phil, now get some sleep its 4 am. I'll only be in the room next door."

"Thank you, Dan, goodnight."

Dan nods and heads back to his room leaving me with only my thoughts. Dan doesn't know about the first half of my dream. I told Dan how I really felt about him and that's when he told me it would mess everything up, then he packed his things and left. But then I woke up and Dan was there.

I slowly pull the soft duvet covers off and put my feet on the carpeted floor. I head to the toilet, wash my face, and head into the lounge. As it's only 4:49 am, the only lights on that i can see are the street lamps outside.

"Phil?"

"yeah?"

"Why are you awake?"

"just can't sleep that's all,"

"Phil you know you can tell me things right? I'm always here" 

"Dan can I just have a hug?" 

"Yeah, come here," 

I walk over to Dan and fall into his open arms and hug him as tight as I can. I'm quite literally using his shoulder to cry on. After a few moments of me silently crying on his shoulder, Dan pulls away slightly so he can see my face. 

"Phil?" 

"Hm?" 

"Please start telling me things, I'm getting worried. What was your dream about?" 

"can we sit?" 

Dan nods and we sit on the sofa. I sit crisscrossed on the couch while Dan sits normally with his feet on the floor. 

"So the dream?" 

"It was about you, Dan."

a/n: I'm sorry for taking so long to update, I can't find any inspiration, but I'll be writing chapter 7 right after this so hopefully that will be up soon!!
