My winter never ends - Chapter Two

Not much to say,enjoy the story.

"You went to school today,right?"

-Mom asked me when she finished eating her soup.

"Yes mom. I swear."

-I said and moved the bowl and the tray away.

"I'll try harder next year,I promise."

- I said with a fake smile on.

"You'll see."

"I hope."

-She said and I sincerely hope she said about my graduating,not will she see it.

"Take a nap mom,I'm going to the bathroom,okay?"

-I said and fake smiled again and she nodded.

I left the room and went to Mr.Brown's office. He wasn't there but I sat down and waited for him. He came inside like 10 minutes later and he was really surprised to see me here.

"Bella?"

"Please make my mom heal."

-I said and hugged him.

"Bella...please,we're doing everything we can. She takes therapy,I'm not God I can't just snap my fingers and bam she's healthy."

-He said and I moved away from him. I wiped my tears and sighed.

"Everyone has hard times in life. Some people have them young,some later when they're older. But the important thing is to survive everything that befalls us. But after every winter spring comes again."

-He said and pet my hair.

"My winter never ends."

-I said and left the office. I went to the bathroom. I washed my hands and face. I took a deep breath and looked myself in the mirror. I can't believe what did I turn into. I look like a zombie. My eyes are so red and I'm so paled.

I was only 162 cm tall. I had light brown hair and blue eyes.I was kinda short. Mom's last wish is to see her family again. Her brother and parents. She hasn't seen them in 18 years. I know what to do. I'm going to find them.

The problem is : I don't know where to search for them. I know their names are Natalie and Tom Sellars,they live in Seattle.

I have to find uncle Derek,then he'll take me to my grandparents.

As soon as I entered the apartment I went to mom's room. I have to find some informations about uncle Derek. Maybe the adress or number...anything.

I looked under her matress and I found some letters. I took them all,there were like 3 of them. From New York. I lined them by date. The first date was 14.05.2001.

I opened it and read it. What I found out shocked me. It was from my dad.

"Jessica,first of all I want to tell you is I'm sorry. I wish you and Bella can forgive me. I need to tell you the reason I left. I got scared. It's not someone else as you probably think.We had hard times and I was a coward,I admit it. I left because I couldn't fight for happier times so I got back to my parents. I am finishing college soon,and when I get a job I'll come back to get you two and save you and our little daugter from poverty. Then maybe my parents will accept you,and your parents will accept me. We'll be happy. Please forgive me. I really do love you. Love Jack."

I cried durring reading this. I can't believe this. He left because he was scared. And he promised he'll come back for us soon,why didn't he!?

There were two more letters,but I didn't read them. I'm looking for my uncle now.I continued searching for something,but I couldn't find anything. When I lost my hope I saw a photo album in my mom's shoe box. It was her childhood. With her parents and brother. I kept the album and the letters in my purse and went back to the hospital. I opened the door of mom's room. She was sleeping so I closed it. I don't think she'll make it. I heard the doctors words in my head and then I opened the door again. She was calm,maybe too calm. I approached her to check is she breathing. I put my head next to her neck to hear.
