IZUMI'S POV

I was in the gardens again and I was staring at the flowers and they looked beautiful in the moonlight. I looked at the white roses and they reminded me of Christa. I smiled a little and I wondered if she's all right and if she misses me. Just then, Subaru showed up and he said to me.

"What are you doing here?"

"Hi Subaru, I'm just admiring these roses, the white ones are beautiful aren't they?"

Subaru looked away with a frown on his face. I knew what was wrong with him and I said to him.

"I know that look on your face, they're reminding you of Christa don't they?"

"Yeah... Izumi, my Mother, how is she? is she still...?"

I shook my head for a no and I then smiled at him.

"No, Christa is calmer and kind-hearted now, she was there for Okaa-san when she was pregnant with me and when she gave birth as well, Christa has also become a second Mom to me as well, I know you don't want to believe it, but, it's the truth, we've always been together since I was little and she likes to spoil me a lot, even now."

SUBARU'S POV

I stood there with an emotionless look on face as Izumi talked about how she and Mom got along well. In some ways, I felt really jealous of Izumi because Mom never did that to me when I was young. Izumi noticed the look on face and she then spoke up.

"What's the matter?"

"Nothing, I guess I'm just a bit jealous of you."

Izumi noticed my look and I continued.

"Okaa-san never treated me the same way as she does with you, she only shouted at me and called me names, all I've ever known since my childhood was loneliness."

Izumi was surprised when she heard me say this and I then frowned at her.

"Don't give me that look, I don't deserve it."

I said in an angry tone. I was about to walk away and then Izumi spoke up again.

"You know, Christa has never once stopped talking about you and she never once stopped loving you even after what you've been through."

I was shocked when Izumi said this. I looked over my shoulder and Izumi continued.

"I know you don't want to believe me but it's the truth whether you want to believe it or not, but, know this Subaru, you're not alone in this world there's always someone watching your back."

Izumi said with a smile before she walked away from me. I stood there in shock and I then lowered my head a little while remembering what Mom was like when she was ill and how she treated me as well.

IZUMI'S POV

I walked to the lake and I stared at the horizon for a moment and I then remembered that song Mom used to sing to me when I was younger.

Play Video~

I remember tears streaming down your face
When you said, "you'll never let you go"
When all those shadows almost killed your light
I remember you said, "Don't leave me here alone"
But all that's dead and gone and passed tonight

Just close your eyes
The sun is going down
You'll be alright
No one can hurt you now
Come morning light
You and I'll be safe and sound

3RD PERSON POV

Subaru was walking through the forest for a moment until he heard Izumi singing. Subaru looked where that singing was coming from until he saw Izumi and she was the one who was singing. Subaru was surprised when he heard her sing like that and how the moonlight became her spotlight as she sang. Subaru stayed in the shadows and he listened to Izumi's singing.

Hold on to this lullaby
Even when the music's gone
Gone

Just close your eyes
The sun is going down
You'll be alright
No one can hurt you now
Come morning light
You and I'll be safe and sound

Subaru closed his eyes and as he listened to Izumi's singing, he remembers how his mum treated him before she went crazy. Subaru looked at Izumi's back and he could see (Y/n) standing there instead of her.

Just close your eyes
You'll be alright
Come morning light,
You and I'll be safe and sound

Just close your eyes
The sun is going down
You'll be alright
No one can hurt you now
Come morning light
You and I'll be safe and sound

Once Izumi was finished singing, she sensed Subaru nearby and she then said to him.

"I know you're there Subaru."

Subaru came out of the shadows and he then walked over to Izumi.

"I had no idea that you can sing like that."

"Well, it's actually one of my favourite songs, Okaa-san used to sing that song to me when I was younger, I remembered every word."

Izumi said as she placed her hand on the necklace that (Y/n) gave to her before she came to the human world. Subaru looked at Izumi and he then asked her.

"Izumi, do you know why your mother didn't come back to the human world?"

"Honestly, I don't know except she only told me about my crazy uncle and her past as well, she never really did talk about the human world that much."

"I see...and Izumi."

"Yeah?"

Izumi looked at Subaru and he then said to her while scratching the back of his head and blushing a little.

"Does my...Okaa-san still talks about me...if so...I would like to know..."

"Hehe, oh brother, you're such a Tsun-Tsun!"

"You have no room to talk!!"

Subaru shouted and then Izumi laughed at him.

"What are you laughing at?!"

"Nothing, Tsunbaru!"

"Don't call me that!!"

"Whatever Tsunabru!!"

"That's it! get over here!!"

Subaru shouted before he starts to chase Izumi. Izumi continued to laugh as she ran away from him. In the shadows, (Y/n), who was wearing her cloak and her hood was up to hide her identity, was smiling at Izumi and Subaru.

"Just like old times..."

(Y/n) mumbled as she remembered the days she spent with the brothers. (Y/n) then disappeared into the shadows with a sad smile on her face.
