Chapter Twenty Three: Ms. Loveheart

Cassandra's POV

"Ms. Kim?"

"Ms. Kim are you alright?"

"Open your eyes, Ms. Kim."

Three voices rang in my ears and I forced myself to wake up to see who they were from.

"Ah, thank goodness." Mr. Kang sighed in relief.

"What happened?" I groaned, adjusting my eyes to my surroundings. Turns out that I'm in my parents' bedroom.

"You fainted, maam." I sat up on the bed and looked at the three officers.

"Oh, sorry." I muttered, rubbing my temples.

That's when I remembered what Mr. Kang revealed.

"You—" I pointed at him. "you're Hasoo's father."

His eyebrows raised, "Yes, I am."

I wanted to tell him about everything that Hasoo has told me. About her trying to steal Yoongi away from me. About her insulting me. But I kept my mouth shut.

"Uhmm..." I decided to get out of my parents' bed and confront the officers.

"So, shall we get a DNA test?" I asked.

"Not yet," the second officer said. "we need a piece of Kang Hasoo's DNA too."

"I can handle that." Mr. Kang raised his hand.

I sighed painfully, "So be it."

"The results, doctor?" I stood up quickly, facing the medical man.

He gives me a piece of paper containing the results of the tests.

I read through it and gasped.

"The DNA matches with Kang Hasoo's." The doctor declared.

Angry tears started forming on my eyes and I said thanks to the doctor one last time before he walked away, and turned to the three cops.

"How?" I glared at Mr. Kang.

He sighed heavily, "The truth is that...my daughter never left for Japan. She was here in Korea, at our house, all this time. She was lying to all of you."

I breathed heavily and let my angry tears flow.

"That bitch will never stop." I muttered to myself.

"Thanks for your help, officers. Now, I want to press charges against her." I added.

"Would your charges be criminal offence of uttering threats, Ms. Kim?" The third officer asked.

I nodded vigorously and wiped my tears away.

"We'll do everything we can to arrest her, Ms. Kim." The second cop said.

I shifted my gaze to Mr. Kang and he was just keeping his head low, avoiding our attention on him.

He knows what his daughter did, and I hope that he's guilty for her.

I said farewell to the three cops and went back home.

"Mom, dad! It was Hasoo all along!" I cried out when I entered the house.

My parents came out from the kitchen with bewildered looks. "Really? Oh that's such a shame on her."

"Who's Hasoo again?" Dad asked.
