Chapter Fifteen: Working Through Finding Him

I KNOW THE TRAILER CAME OUT ON FRIDAY BUT THE SEASON 3 TRAILER HAS ME ROLLING ON THE FLOOR! LITERALLY I WAS ROLLING ON THE FLOOR IN CLASS!

"How much sleep have you had, Levi?" Hange asked in concern.

Levi looked up lazily and slowly replied, "An hour."

Hange's eyes widened in shock and worry for his personal health. "Levi, I may work in science, but I'm educated enough to know that you need to rest. And you have an interrogation tomorrow. Remember?"

Levi put his head back down and began to write more of whatever was on his paper. "I can't. I have to find Eren. It's been three days, Hange. I'm going insane. Coming home to an empty house is agonizing."

Hange's wide eyes softened and she nodded in agreement. "You're right. I have no idea what you feel like right now."

Levi acknowledged her statement but kept on writing. He couldn't stop. He had to find Eren. He needed to find Eren.

"We could send a search squad." Hange said all of a sudden. Levi scoffed and rubbed his forehead in frustration.

"Yeah? And how would that go? Searching for a criminal that we don't even know yet and he can hide his traces. I know I'm skilled Hange, but this guy seems like he's been from a rough place. Almost like where I came from. The underground." Levi blurted out.

"But we do! Petra found traces on him from the night he shot you!" Hange exclaimed.

Levi then stood up hurriedly, "Where is she?"

"She's at a cafe with Oluo. Come on, let's go!" Hange informed Levi.

As they were putting their coats on, Levi realized something. It was finally his chance. His chance to prove to Eren that he loves him. That he wasn't a phony and he believed that their marriage was not a mistake.

And he would make sure of that.

Three Days Prior

Reiner looked up from the note he was reading as he saw Eren walk into his room. And he wasn't on time.

"I've been waiting for you." Reiner informed Eren. Eren looked up at Reiner in shame and walked toward to explain himself.

"I'm sorry. This place is quite big and I didn't know my way around." Eren admitted shakily.

"Hmm. I guess I'll let it pass." Reiner said. Eren silently let out a relieved sigh and waited for Reiner to tell him what to do.

"Sit on the bed, Eren." Reiner demanded.

Eren then quickly sat on the bed and hung his head down. Reiner smirked at his actions and sat his note down on a coffee table close to him.

He then embraced Eren from behind and Eren quietly shrieked at his action. Reiner harshly nuzzled his face into Eren's neck and began to softly talk, "Do you miss him?"

Eren was hesitant. He didn't know what to say. If he admitted that he missed Levi, Reiner would forgive him, right? He's been forgiving him so far.

"Yes, I do." Eren admitted to Reiner.

After Eren's sentence, Reiner didn't do anything for a while. He just sat there embracing him as if they were lovers.

"You really do love him, huh?" Reiner asked once again. Eren nodded and started to softly smile. Maybe Reiner would let him go?
