Demi's POV
I don't think I'm 100% okay again, even after that amazing vacation, but I can honestly say that I feel so much better than I did before. Especially after seeing my kids today. They were all so happy to see me and I swear Devy almost said "mama." Nicholas said he's been trying to teach her how to speak but she usually just crawls away from him. My kids are so cute I swear.Well, I was in a good mood until we talked to Bella. Wilmer and I came up with her punishment together but I just don't like how he spoke to her in his office. And seeing Bella nearly cry because of it broke my heart because I know the type of relationship that they have. Wilmer isn't usually like that with her, and Bella really isn't a bad kid so I want to get to the bottom of what's going on.
"Hey," I said as I walked into our bathroom, wrapping my arms around his waist as I stood on the tips of my toes and kissed behind his ear.
"Hey," he responded as he continued to shave. Sometimes I like his facial hair and sometimes I don't. It all just depends.
"What was that back there?"
"What do you mean?"
"I mean, why did you talk to Bella like that?" I asked, hopping on top of the marble counter that stretched across the width of our bathroom as Wilmer shrugged.
"I don't think I said anything wrong..."
"Well, that's a problem. Look, I know she did something terrible but I just think you need to be more careful with the way that you talk to her," I stated as Wilmer lightly scoffed.
"You're going to tell me how to parent my daughter?"
"Our daughter. You know what, Wilmer? I don't want to fight with you," I said with a shake of my head.
"Look, I'm sorry. It's just a lot going on, okay?"
"What is it?"
"Rosalie has been contacting me."
I didn't even have to ask because I knew exactly which Rosalie he's talking about. Rosalie, my fashion designer friend who just happens to be Bella's mother.
"That's why you're being so mean to your daughter?" I questioned. Even if Rosalie has been contacting him, that's no reason for him to treat Bella like that.
"You don't get it, Demi. She wants to be in Bella's life. She said she'll take us to court if she has to," Wilmer explained as I shrugged. Custody cases really don't scare me all that much anymore.
"No judge in their right mind would give her any type of custody of Bella. I'll take care of it," I said, kissing Wilmer's cheek before leaving the bathroom to check on the rest of the kids. First thing that I have to do in the morning is contact my lawyer.
Isabella's POV
Just like Demi said, she woke me up at seven and we were at her office by eight. She said the only reason why she made me come to the office was to get everyone's coffee orders, so I had to go around the entire office - three whole floors - and get what everyone wanted from Starbucks. But some people wanted Dunkin Donuts and I just already hate this job. Since I'm working for Demi and not my dad, I didn't have to go to his part of the office and get their coffee orders. Thank God. I don't know how I'm supposed to bring all this coffee back, and I'm not about to walk to Starbucks and Dunkin when it's like 100 degrees outside. So, I did what any sensible person would do. I ordered it all on Postmates and had a few people from the lobby help me bring it up.
"Bella, I need you to come and take notes in this meeting. Grab an iPad from Marissa and you better be paying attention the entire time. This is important," Demi instructed as she took her glasses off and started gathering things off of her desk.
