Chapter 3 - Stefan's Evil Plan

Elena's POV

I have to tell Caroline and Bonnie what Damon told me. As I get ready to go to the Grill to meet them, Damon texts me:

Elena, we need to talk.
-From Damon.

I ignore it and go to the Grill to meet Caroline and Bonnie.

At The Grill

Elena walks in and sees her friends. She goes and sits and begins to tell them

Bonnie: So did he tell you why you look exactly like her?

Elena: He said I'm her doppelganger.

Caroline: What the hell? And Damon told you this, not Stefan? What an ass."

Bonnie: And Klaus is after you because your the doppelganger?"

Elena: Yep.

Damon walks up to them and asks Elena if she got his text. She pulls him to the side to talk. Elena already knows what he wants but she asks anyways.

Damon: Did you get my text?

Elena: Yea I got your text Damon. What is it?

Damon: We need to talk alone.

Elena: Fine. Just let me tell Bonnie and Caroline I'm leaving.

She walks back over to Bonnie and Caroline to tell them that she has to go. They understand considering what they just found out. Damon and Elena leave and go back to his house. They go to his room to talk about the situation. He tells Elena about Stefan's plan. Then Stefan walks in.

Stefan: I see you brought our doppelganger back.

Damon: Stefan I told you to leave her alone.

Elena: Stefan what do you want with me?

Stefan: I want to sacrifice you to Elijah.

Elena: What?!?

Damon: No. Your not gonna lay a finger on her.

Stefan: Brother, your letting love get in the way of freedom.

Damon: I'd rather have Elena's love than freedom from Elijah. I didn't even do anything to upset him. You did. The only reason I'm still running is because I stood by you, brother. But I see that was a mistake.

Damon blurred to Stefan and snapped his neck. He walked back over to Elena and grabbed her and blurred her into his car. He drove away with intentions of getting her away from Stefan to keep her safe.

Elena: Where are we going?

Damon: I need to get you away from Stefan for a while.

Elena: So Where are we going?

Damon: I don't know. We're just driving for now.

He said it with a smirk. I was happy Damon protected me. I think it's a good idea to be alone with him for a while too. Stefan said that Damon loves me. Damon said he'd rather have my love instead of his own freedom. I need to time with him to see if I do in fact love him the way he loves me.

A Few Hours Later

I fell asleep. How long has it been. I look over and smile at Damon. He looks back and smiles at me. I don't know where we are and I should be alarmed but I'm not. I feel completely safe with Damon.

Elena: Where are we?

Damon: Virginia. Just not Mystic Falls, Virginia.

Elena: Damon, what you said back there.

Damon: What? That I love you? Yea, it's true.

Elena: But what about your freedom?

Damon: I'm going to get it right now.

Elena: What?!?

Damon: Don't worry Elena. Your not getting sacrificed. I made a deal with Elijah. But I will need your help to execute the plan.

Elena: What do I have to do?

Damon: I'm gonna take you back to Stefan. You have to look scared too. I'm gonna tell Stefan that he's right and we need to do this and blah blah blah. I'm gonna give you my blood so that when you die, you will come back a vampire.

Elena: Ok I think I can do that.

Damon: Okay we're almost there. Drink up.

He bit his wrist and put it front of me. I drunk enough so that it would stay in my system for a couple of days.

At The Salvatore House

Okay I have to look scared. We pulled up the driveway and Damon gave me a look. I knew it was time. He grabbed me by my arm. I knew he had to be rough. I also knew he hated hurting me. But this plan has to work. If Stefan finds out we're all dead.

Stefan: So, you finally came to your senses huh brother?

Damon: I just can't run anymore. I want freedom so call Elijah and get this over with before I change my mind.

Stefan: Tie her up in the basement.

Damon: I thought we agreed my room would be better for the doppelganger.

Stefan: Fine. Go put her in your room.

He gave me a little bit more blood before he tied me up and went back downstairs.

*knock knock knock* The door slams open. I can hear them.

Elijah: Where is she?

Stefan: She's in Damon's room.

Elijah: Go get her.

Damon: Okay.

Elijah: No not you. Stefan go get her. We have to talk about the arrangement.

Damon: What's there to say?

Elijah: I can only protect her for so long Damon.

Damon: And how long is that because we had a deal.

Elijah: Long enough to get far, far away.

Elena: Let go of me Stefan.

Stefan: I've waited so long for this moment. The moment I get to see Katherine Pierce die.

Elijah: Stefan, this girl is not Katerina Patrova.

Stefan: No but it's close enough.

Elijah: Alright then let's go.

They all left with Elijah. Stefan thinking he's finally going to get freedom when really he's getting his neck snapped and locked up for Elijah's own humor somewhere in Italy.
