Chapter 7 - Carelena

Elena's POV

It's been a month since Damon died and me and Caroline kissed. We still haven't talked about it either. I should call her.

*On The Phone*

Caroline: Hi Elena.

Elena: Hey Caroline. Can we meet up at the Grill?

Caroline: Umm sure. When?

Elena: Meet me there in about an hour.

Caroline: Okay see you then. Bye.

Elena: Bye.

Okay gotta get ready to meet Caroline.

Caroline's POV

I really don't want to do this. I shouldn't be avoiding this but what am I supposed to do. I have feelings of love for my best friend and i shouldn't because Elena is straight. Oh well, time to go.

At The Grill

Caroline walked in and looked for Elena. She was early. She got a seat and waited for Elena.

A few minutes later Elena walked in and spotted Caroline. She walked to her table and sat down across from Caroline.

Elena: Hey Car.

Caroline: Hey Elena. What's up?

Elena: Look Caroline. We've been ignoring each other since the night Damon died and we both know why. I came here so we could talk about it because I don't want us to grow apart because of what happened.

Caroline: Elena you were volnerable and I took advantage of that.

Elena: Caroline the only way you could've taken advantage of me is if you have feelings for me.

Caroline looked at the table then back at Elena and didn't respond. Elena looked confused. Then she realized that Caroline does have feelings for her.

Elena: Caroline I...

Caroline: Yeah I know you're straight and I have a girlfriend.

Elena: That's not what I was going to say. I was going to say that ever since that night I can't stop thinking about you. But you're right, you have a girlfriend. Nice talk Caroline. I'll see you around.

Caroline: Elena wait.

Elena turned around and Caroline ran to her and kissed her roughly. They released and both girls smiled.

Elena: What about your girlfriend?

Caroline: Don't worry. I'll take care of her.

Caroline calls Nina.

*On The Phone*

Nina: Hey Care Bear!

Caroline: Hey Nina. Can I come over? We need to talk.

Nina: Umm sure. Are you okay?

Caroline: Yeah. I'm on my way.

Nina: Okay see you soon.

Caroline: Okay bye.

Later at Nina's house Caroline starts to tell her that Damon is dead and what all happened that night. Nina starts to cry.

Nina: Do you love her?

Caroline: Yes.

She answered without a care in the world. Nina ran up to her room and Caroline left. She went to Elena's. Elena opened the door to find Caroline on the other side. She smiled and kissed her. They kissed all the way up the stairs into Elena's room.

Caroline: Is Jeremy home?

Elena: No. He's with Bonnie.

Caroline smiled and they got down to business.

Hours later they hear a knock at Elena's front door. She runs downstairs and opens the door. Stefan stands on the other side in tears.

Elena: Stefan.

Stefan: Can I come in?

Elena: Yeah. What's wrong?

Stefan: She's gone. Katherine's dead.

Elena: Stefan, Klaus is dead.

Stefan: What!? Who killed him?

Elena: I did.

Elena wasn't sure if she should've told him but she did. He blurred out of her house and that's when Caroline came down. She heard everything.

Caroline: Umm Elena. I don't want to make things worse but why isn't Stefan dead if Katherine's dead? Didn't she turn him?

Elena ran to her phone and called Stefan.

*On The Phone*

Stefan: What do you want Elena?

Elena: Who turned you Stefan?

Stefan: Rebecca.
