Chapter 4 - The Sacrifice

Damon's POV

I really hope the vampire blood hasn't left her system. I don't know what I would do if she really died and didn't come back to me.

Klaus: Ah yes the doppleganger.

Elena: You. I saw you outside of Damon and Stefan's house.

Klaus: You did. I bet you didn't think I would be the face of the hybrid taking your life.

Jenna: Elena what's going on?

Elena: Oh my God Jenna. What is she doing here?

Klaus: I need a vampire to complete the ritual love.

Jenna: What's that smell? Why is my throat so dry?

Elena: Damon?

Damon: She's in transition.

Elena: What?! No. I'm so sorry Jenna.

Klaus: Yes. And now with just a little human blood. Come on Elena.

Elijah blurred to Klaus and snapped his neck then I snapped Stefan's. I gave Elena a little more blood, then killed her. I took her home, layed her on her bed, and waited for her to wake up.

Hours Later

Elena's POV

I open my eyes. My throats dry. I look over and see Damon holding a blood bag.

Elena: Is that for me?

I say with a laugh.

Damon: Yea. Drink up.

I take the blood bag and drain the bag. It was so good. I want more.

Elena: I want more.

Damon: I have some back at my house but Stefan is there. I don't think you should go over there.

Elena: Damon, I'll be fine. Come on. Let's go.

We pull up to the Salvatore Boarding house. Stefan is immediately at the car. When I get out of the car he begins to plead for forgiveness.

Stefan: Elena please. I was compelled. I wasn't myself.

Elena: Stefan, I don't wanna hear it.

Elijah: It's true.

Elena: Elijah. What are you doing here?

Elijah: I'm here to help prove your boyfriends innocence. Klaus compelled him to do all of those horrible things. He compelled him to not tell you and that's why he didn't.

Elena: So why is he free of compulsion now?

Elijah: Another perk of being an original is that we can undo any compulsion of any kind.

Elena: So you freed Stefan.

I said with a smile.

Stefan: Elena you have to know I would never do anything to hurt you.

Elena: I believe you.

Damon's POV

I can't believe this. She just forgave him just like that. After all he put her through. This is too much.

Elena: Where are you going?

Damon: I just need to be alone. I can't deal with this right now.

Elena: Do what? What's wrong Damon?

Damon: How could you just forgive him after everything he put you through?

Elena: Damon he was compelled. He wasn't himself.

I looked at them and walked in the house and went in my room.

Elena's POV

I walked up to Stefan. He looked sad. He thinks he's lost his brother forever.

Elena: He'll come around Stefan.

Stefan: Yea. So what happened with you and Damon?

Elena: He gave me his blood Stefan. I'm a vampire.

Stefan: What?! Why would he do that?

Elena: He made a deal with Elijah to keep me safe but then Elijah said he could only protect me for so long and so Oh told Damon to turn me because then Klaus would have no use for me.

Stefan: Elena if Klaus has no use for you, he's going to kill you.

Elena: I know that Stefan.

Stefan: Then why the hell did you agree to this.

Elena: Stefan it was my idea.

He blurred to Damon's room and punched him. They began to fight. Throwing each other through the house breaking everything.

Damon: Stefan what's wrong? Why are you so mad all of the sudden?

Stefan: Because she's a fucking vampire. This shouldn't of happened.

Damon: It was her idea brother.

Stefan: Why did you agree to this? You could've turned her down. You should've turned her down. Not into a vampire.

They argued all night about the fact that I was a vampire now. Damon kept saying he was respecting my decision and Stefan just couldn't come to terms with the fact that I wanted this.

Later that night after the boys cooled off, I went into Stefan's room and went to sleep. I woke up with this burning feeling on my skin and blurred to a shadowed place. Stefan woke up.

Stefan: What's wrong?

Elena: Not everyone has a special ring to protect them from the sun Stefan.

Stefan: Shit. Stay here.

Elena: Yea like I can go anywhere.

Stefan closed all the curtains in the house so I could come out but I had to stay in the house or it would be ashes for me. Then Damon came down.

Damon: What are you still doing here?

Elena: Well I'm a vampire now so I really can't go anywhere.

Damon: Smart ass I knew that. I thought Stefan gave you your daylight ring.

Elena: He said he's going to get it.

Damon: But he just had this morning right before he left. Why didn't he give it to you?

Elena: What? No he said he had to go get it from Bonnie.

Damon: Alright. If you don't believe me let's call Bonnie herself.

Damon dials Bonnie's number and she answers, surprisingly.

*On The Phone*

Bonnie: What Damon?

Damon: Did you or did you not give Stefan Elena's daylight ring?

Bonnie: Yea. Why?

Damon: Alright. Thank you.

He hung up. Then smirked at me. I couldn't believe he lied to me. But then what is he doing if he's not getting my ring? And where is he talking my ring?
