Chapter 5 - Katherine Pierce

Bonnie's POV

What is his problem? Why is he trying to get her out of that tomb?

Stefan: I love her Bonnie.

Bonnie: What?

Stefan: Your thinking ' Why is he trying to get her out of that tomb?' right?

Bonnie: Yea, but Stefan...

Stefan: I love her Bonnie. It's that simple.

Bonnie: You were compelled Stefan.

Stefan: Even if that were true, the compulsion would have worn off once I became a vampire. But I still love her Bonnie.

Bonnie: Okay. I'm going to help you. I tracked Katherine down. She's not in the tomb. She was never in the tomb. And she never cared enough to come back for you Stefan.

Stefan: What are you saying Bonnie? Where is she?

Bonnie: New Orleans.

Later I called Elena. I had to tell her. She's my best friend and I didn't want her to get hurt.

*On The Phone*

Bonnie: I'm so sorry Elena.

Elena: Why is he doing this?

Bonnie: Elena...

Elena: No Bonnie. I need to know.

Bonnie: He said he still loves her.

I heard her start to break down in tears. I hate that she has to go through this.

Elena: I have to go. Thanks Bonnie.

Bonnie: Yep.

She hung up.

Elena's POV

The tears just wouldn't stop. Then Damon walked in.

Damon: What's wrong with you?

Elena: It's nothing.

Damon: It doesn't look like nothing to me.

Elena: He still loves her Damon.

Damon: Katherine.

Elena: Yea.

Damon: Let me talk to him.

Elena: Well your going to have to wait until he gets back.

Damon: Back from what?

Elena: New Orleans.

Damon: What the hell is he doing in New Orleans?

Elena: Bonnie tracked down Katherine and told him that's where she is so he went to go get her.

Damon: Dammit. Let's go.

Elena: Where are we going?

Damon: To get Stefan back.

Later On The Road To New Orleans.

Damon's POV

I'm only doing this for her. I know she still loves him. He's just put her through so much.Ugh he irritates my soul. My thoughts are interrupted by Elena.

Elena: Damon, are you okay?

Damon: I'm fine. The question is are you okay.

Elena: I'm fine Damon.

Damon: Oh yea you're just peachy and that's why we're on a roadtrip to save your boyfriend.

Elena: I don't think we'll be together for much longer.

Damon: It'll be okay Elena.

She touches my hand and smiles. Once we're in New Orleans, we get a hotel room for the day because Elena doesn't have a daylight ring.

Damon: You should get some rest.

Elena: But there's only one bed.

Damon: It's okay just go to bed.

Elena: Then come with me.

I walk up to her and kiss her. I stop and look into her eyes. She kisses me back. We have hot vampire sex. Best night of my life.

The Next Night

Elena's POV

We head out to find Stefan. The first place we looked was Marcel's.

Marcel: Well hi Damon. I expected to see your brother but not you.

Damon: Yea well that's who we're looking for.

Marcel: Who is we?

Damon: Marcel, this is...

Marcel: Katherine.

He blurred to me and grabbed me up by my neck. Damon blurred to us and threw him off.

Damon: That's not Katherine.

Marcel: Oh, you have the doppleganger.

Damon: She has a name and she's not getting sacrificed!

Marcel: Then you gotta get out of here because if Klaus finds out he'll kill me.

Damon: Fine.

Elena: Damon what's going on? Why doesn't anyone want t to help us?

Damon: Because Klaus threatened to kill anyone that would.

Elena: Why is he doing this?

Damon: Because he either wants you dead or cured.

Elena: Then cure me.

Damon: You will die either way Elena.

Elena: Damon, you can give me your blood.

Damon: Fine but we gotta go talk to Rebecca again.

Elena: Wait why?

Damon: Because her blood is the cure.

Elena: Wait a minute. Why is Rebecca's blood the cure for vamparism?

Damon: When the original witch created them she had to have a cure so she made the blood of her only daughter the cure.

At Rebecca's

Rebecca: So you want me to cure your sweet little Elena? Fine but you will owe me Damon.

Damon: Okay yeah whatever just do it.

She bit her wrist and shoved it in Elena's mouth. Elena drank until she past out. When she woke up she was in a big house that she didn't recognize.

Damon: Oh good, you're awake.

Elena: Where am I?

Elijah: Hello Elena.
