All the words that came out of his mouth
were always so endearing and sweet.
Yet, they made me feel a feeling
that i never experienced.
Ever.
The heart that once belonged to me
was falling for the attention that was being
gotten.
The day that was never to be spoken of came
we both couldn't believe what we had done.
Correction.
He couldn't believe what he had done.
All those sleepless nights
were gone to waste.
As we sit on the opposite side of the wall
We think to ourselves
What went wrong?
How did I give in fast?
I always wondered
why can't I be what people expect me to be?
