Ice Nation Scouts

Kaya's P.O.V

Once we made it to the border of the Ice Nation territory, Octavia and I dismounted our horses before walking over.

"These woods must be the border," Bellamy said. 

"Really? I thought the border was back there," I said to Bellamy. He didn't say anything. Instead, he gave me a look.

"So, where's all the ice?" Jasper asked.

"Much farther north, Azgeda stretches for one thousand miles," Octavia told him.

"Good thing we only have to go two hundred meters," Monty said, not paying attention as he followed the monitor. 

"Slow down," Bellamy said before stopping Monty," Remember rules of engagement are non-lethal force. Tight formation on my command. Raven, you stay in the rover."

"Yeah right," Raven said. 

"We need every gun we've got," Octavia told her. 

"They're coming. Hundred and twenty meters. Hundred and ten. They're our people what are-?" Monty asked Bellamy as Bellamy pointed his gun towards the direction they were coming from. I got my bow ready but I didn't aim yet.

"We hope they're our people. On my command," Bellamy said. I heard horses come over. I looked up to see 

"Ice Nation?" Bellamy asked.

"Yes. White war paint," I told him.

"Stay calm," Octavia said as she raised her hands. She walked over towards the three scouts.

She talked to one of the scouts until they got off their horse.

"They think we're looking for Wanheda," Octavia told us.

"Who's that?" Bellamy and I asked together. 

"I don't know," She told us. 

"The light. That's the beacon," Monty pointed out. Jasper started to walk over to it. The scouts started to aim their bows at Jasper. I raised mine at one of them.

"Hey. Get back here," Bellamy said. 

"Jasper wait-" Monty tried.

"What're you doing?" Raven called out. 

"Jasper!" Octavia said trying to grab his vest. He slipped out as he continued to walk over. 

"It's ok I got this," Jasper told us. 

"Tell them we observe the commander's truce, do it now!" Bellamy ordered Octvaia. She quickly spoke to them. Jasper looked at the grounder before taking the beacon. 

"This belongs to us," Jasper told him before walking back. The grounder grabbed Jasper and held a knife to his throat.

The grounder said something before starting to cut Jasper's throat. Bellamy shot at the grounder while I shot at the one I was aiming at. Raven shot at the other one.

"Hold your fire!" Bellamy shouted at us.

"Jasper, get down!" Octavia ordered before throwing her sword at the grounder. The grounder fell down onto the ground. I then heard my dad call us onto the radio.

"Rover 1, come in. Repeat, Rover 1, come in," My dad said. 

"What now?" Bellamy asked.

"Where are you?" I heard my dad say.

"I had him," Jasper said. 

"What the hell were you thinking?" Monty asked.

"We got the beacon didn't we?" Jasper asked him.

"You idiot, we needed to know where they got it," I said to Jasper.

"He needs to get to medical," Octavia told us. 

"We had to shoot three Ice Nation Scouts. Culvert, Sector four. Copy. Can you tell me what's going on?" I heard Bellamy say.

"When you get here. Over and out," My dad said. 

"Sector four? Why's Kane so far outside the wall?" Raven asked. 

"Beats me," I said. 

"Take him home!" Bellamy said.

"I'm fine, thank you for asking," Jasper said.

"Shut up, Jasper," I said.

"Miller!" Bellamy called out. 

"Yeah."

"Get one of their horses. Raven said you can't ride, you're on the back. Monty, Kaya, you're with me. Let's go," Bellamy said.

"Okay," Monty said. I got on my horse before following them to sector four.

Once we reached to the tunnel, I got off and got my sword ready. I walked next to Monty, avoiding Bellamy.

"You were right about Jasper. Okay? Is that what you want me to say?" Monty asked Bellamy.

"Quiet. Keep your eyes peeled. I could've said no," Bellamy told Monty.

"He's getting worse isn't he? I-I mean getting drunk every night is one thing but smiling with a knife to your throat? That's next level damage," Monty said. I saw my dad and some lady walk over to us. 

"Who's he with?" I asked. 

"Indra."

"That's Indra?" Monty asked. 

"He must have told her we broke the truce. Sir, before you say anything there was a good reason-"

"I'll deal with that later. This is about Clarke," Dad interrupted Bellamy.

"What about her?" I asked.

"She's being hunted," Indra told us.

"By who?" Monty asked. 

"By everyone."
