Moonlit Secrets

Chapter Ten

(Virgil's P.O.V.)

I had finally found Logan and convinced him it was me. I had never been so happy to see him in my life. He apologized for anything he had done to me while we where here both now and in the past. For someone who liked to keep his emotions under lock and key seemed to showing quiet a bit of them. This worried me but I tried to keep my worry hidden. With Logan's guidance I had successfully patched his wounds. With me supporting him we had made our way down the hall a bit before we could hear footsteps approaching.

We quickly and quietly made our way into the nearest door and closed it behind us. Upon further inspection the room looked similar to the one I had been in. My heart began to pound as I remembered what the Logan imposture had done. My spirits dropped when I saw a girl strapped to the table. She had on what looked like a school uniform. White colored shirt tucked into khakis. The black jacket on top had a crest that was slightly covered. He glasses were askew and her black hair was falling from her ponytail. I was about to ask Logan if she looked familiar when I could hear the door nob being fiddled with. Before we had a chance to even think about hiding the door opened revealing another girl.

She looked similar to the one on the table. She wore a black shirt with the Phases of the moon saying Just a Phase I'm Going Threw with black pants. Her shoulder length black hair was down and in her face. She had similar make up to mine but there was a slight wing and hers seemed to streak down slightly more than mine did. She took a look a Logan and her eyes grew wide. "No, not again." She squeaked.

(Narrator's P.O.V.)

The Dark Side of the Mind holds many scary and dangerous things. It holds secrets as well. One of these secrets it holds is the fact that it runs solely on everything Negative. I know what you are thinking, well of course if something is bad then it's going to run on negativity so how is that a secret. The secret is how it obtains, stores, and uses that power. The Mind Scape, I should inform you, is a very complex system of not just one Mind. No, there are ways for it to become connected. Everyone has there own version of the Mind Scape. Now think of that Mind Scape as its own World having its own Kingdoms. There can be multiple Kingdoms in one World but not everyone has seen them and not everyone knows of the others existence. That will be both your Light and Dark Sides of the Mind. Then take that one World and throw it into a Solar System filed with other Worlds with similar Kingdoms. Like how NASA has visited other Worlds our Sides can visit other Mind Scapes, though none have really tried and not many people really know this information. Does this make since?

Now back to that secret. Well Logan had stumbled Upon a door to one of these other Mind Scapes while he and Virgil lived in Thomas' Dark Side. Him, not wanting to cause any more pain to others, decided to keep this from the Dark One. If he had the knowledge that he could have even more power then that could be disastrous. Logan had already helped with the system to extract negative thoughts and emotions from a being and use it to power the lights as well as a secret weapon he had been commissioned to build. Countless times he had used this devise he created on Virgil and a few other of the inhabitance of the village near the Palace back home to drain them of their negativity leaving them pretty much dead. Virgil being filled with negativity himself didn't really feel the effects those from the lighter side did. Fearing what could happen and feeling bad for all of his past mistakes he escaped to the lighter side of the mind. He took all his research and notes with him as well as helped Virgil escape, though that came sometime later.

Why am I interrupting this tale now to tell you this information? Well, as you might have already seen, there are now two sets of Sides in Thomas' Mind Scape. This means somehow the Dark One found out about the doors. What was once a simple recue mission has turned to be so much deadlier. With Logan in the Dark Side the Dark One is one step closer to brining his plan to life. One step closer of taking over the whole mind. The clock is ticking and time is running short. I leave you guys to go back into this tale with this knowledge. Will Roman, Patton, and Depression make it in time before Logan's secrets are cracked. I hope so, for my own sanity.

(Roman's P.O.V.)

We had been following Depression for a few hours before she motioned us to get down. Just ahead I could see two hooded figures coming towards us. "She couldn't have gotten far. Besides The Hell Hounds should be able to track her quiet well." "What if she runs into Thomas' Creativity and Morality. They entered into our side early this morning. If they find her and find out she's not one of Thomas' Sides then who knows what could happen." "Don't worry. Colton is working on cracking Logan for information. They use to be kind of a thing when he and Virgil still lived here." Patton and I looked at each other. Logan came from the Dark Side? How is that Possible?

The two made their way deeper in the direction we had just came looking for Depression and possibly us as well. When they had gotten a ways from us and I was sure we wouldn't be heard I spoke. "What the heckity heck? Five abs and one peck!" Depression let out a snort of laughter. "What?" "Something I say so I'm not alone in my confusion. Patton did you know that Logan came from the Dark Side?" Meekly he shook his head. "Ro, what's going on. Why is she here. And what's going on with Logan." "I'm not sure. Maybe we can get Robo boy here working enough to answer a few questions before we storm the castle." "I don't think we have the time." Depression said as she motioned towards the two figures heading back our way. "Can we make a break for it or should we fight?" I asked calculating our options. "I say we fight. Or at least knock them out so you two can wear the robes and take me in. Kinda like what Han Solo and Luke did with Chewy in A New Hope." I looked over at the girl and smiled. "Good thinking. Lets do that. Can you lure them over here so we can have the element of surprise." She nodded and slipped out of our hiding spot and snuck a little ways ahead before she made herself known to the two figures.
