"Well, one time I told this gu- girl I like a chemistry joke, but there was no reaction."

Somehow, they made it up to Tony's lab without Clint splitting his side.

Clint led Peter over to the door of the lab, knocking before he came in, because last time he didn't knock, and he almost got a face full of pliers. That had not been fun.

AC/DC was for once not blaring through the lab when he opened the door, it was actually more like background music for once.

"Ah, I've been waiting for yo-" Tony caught sight of Clint, who was most definitely not the small boy he had read the file on. "Clint, why are you here?" He asked disappointedly.

"I come bearing a gift, this child here was in the elevator when I gallantly saved home from the jaws of boredom." Clint over dramatically explained, giving show-hands to the side of him, gesturing to the... empty space?

Tony placed his hands together, palm-to-palm, finger-to-finger, and lifted them to his mouth, as if he was confused. "I see a Katniss," he spread his hands out, and looked around, "but, I do not see a Mister Parker, which is the child you say I was waiting for."

Clint looked around him, spinning in a circle that Tony could only compare to a dog chasing its tail.

That was when he saw some brown hair sticking out of the doorframe.

Apparently, Katniss couldn't see it, because he kept spinning around in a circle, looking quite stupid to Tony.

"I swear... I left him right here... Kid? Kiddie? Kiddo? Where'd ya go?" He overheard the blonde mutter.

"I can see you Mister Parker, you can come out, you know, believe it or not, I won't bite." Tony said jokingly.

The brown hair quickly became a full head, and Clint finally noticed the boy.

"There you are!" He exclaimed. "I was looking for you."

The younger man gave him a small smile.

"Yeah, well, I'll leave you here with Iron-face. Even though I like you so much, you have to go to the stupid job interview," and with that Clint started walking down the hallway muttering about how, 'Damn, who goes to interviews to get actual jobs. That dumb.' And how, 'he looks like a fricken 13 year-old. Not even old enough to have a job.'

"Excuse him, he's a little cranky because his partner isn't here right now." Tony stage-whispered, and receiving a small giggle in return made him smile slightly. he ignored clint's turning back and sticking his tongue out childishly.

He finally got a good look at the kid that may or may not be his new assistant, and was not in the best mood to see the bruises or split lip. Not to mention the bloody nose that looked a little too crooked.

Long-story short, the interview went well, and his heart was not sorta invaded by the adorableness that is Peter Benjamin Parker. No, because that would be ridiculous. He just met the kid. But the way he had pushed up his glasses and winced in pain when his hand came in contact with his nose, may had broken his heart. But just a little.

Okay, he may have to give everyone an interview, but his mind was made up, he was going to keep Peter.

Okay, short chapter, I know I'm sorry, but until I know your guys' opinion this story won't work. So, a few questions, if you could answer them, that would be great. Because until you do, this story won't go anywhere?

Ok, do you want me to incorporate peter meeting the avengers, or get on with the plot? Or do you want me to wait until I get the plot going, and then do a separate book for moments like Peter's full interview, random fluffiness that just everyone loves to see, and peter meeting the avengers?

This is going somewhere, I promise, I just need your help. I need you guys to clear a path of trees so I can set down the pavement.
