Mary thumbed through the journal. There were notes jotted in it, from the doctor, she presumed. She didn't know why they would write notes in her journal. There were some odd equations, things she definitely never learned in school. She flipped through several pages of these, then she found a list. It was a list of about twenty names, and about half of them were crossed out. Including Alex. Next on the list was Andi, then herself. She showed Andi. "What? Why?" Alex cocked his head in confusion. Then he reached over and grabbed the book. He grunted and grumbled something. "I think I know what it is. These are...well...us. All these people." He pointed out of the cell and at all the other prisoners.
"Why are some of y'all crossed out?" Andi asked, her accent shining through. "They are the people who've been tested on."
