Broken Hearted

Chapter 2

As Aria woke up she turned and tried to bury her face into the pilliow that lay beside her when she realized her pillow was breathing.

She suddenly remembered last night events and buried her head deeper into Elijah's chest. She had to admit she has had feelings for Elijah since they were children but she never thought the loss of Stefan would turn her from liking Elijah to loving him.

He encircled his arm around her wasit as to bring her closer she agreed to his response and fell back asleep.

As Elijah woke up two hours after when he first woke up he looked at the clock ' 11am!!!' He thought in his mind. Elijah slid out of the bed making sure Aria didn't wake.

He showered and got dressed in his normal shirt and jeans he made a note for Aria and quickly left.

Aria woke up to her phone ringing. " Jermey this better be good I was sleeping!" Aria sighed and looked at the time '1pm' she thought.

" Aria we just heard I'm so sorry I have Elena here you should come home for the weekend we could get the whole gang together and we can have a ceremony here for Stefan." Aria looked down

" Jeremy of course I will come home to see my little brother and sister maybe it would be good for Elijah to see his family too. I'll tell Elijah and we could leave tonight after the funereal. Could I bring a friend or three or four?" Jeremy sighed into the phone

" Yea sure who were you thinking of bringing?" Aria's nearly squealed this was the first good news since the crash.

" Lewis Hamilton, Nico Rosberg, Mark Webber and James Hinchcliffe!!" Jeremy almost jumped.

" I haven't caught up with them in along time bring them along!" Aria smiled.

" Bye Jeremy love you!" Jeremy laughed.

" Love you too Aria see you tonight." Aria hung up. She looked over to where Elijah was this moring.

" Huh he's gone?" That's when she noticed the note.

' Aria, I have left to get us some appropriate clothing for the funeral today. I hope you don't mind I looked through some of your clothes to find your size. I'll see you around 1:30. Elijah'

She looked at her phone again "1:10 I have twenty minutes to shower get dressed and eat. Crap."

She quickly got out of bed and headed for the shower. She headed downstairs to start toast when she heard the door opening she quickly raced upstairs and got clothes on.

As Aria came downstairs her toast came out and put jelly on it.

Elijah emerged from his room in a black suit and held out a dress for me.

" Thanks. I was wondering if you wanted to come home with me to my house in Mystic Falls but we might pick up a few friends."

He nodded as she ate and sent a text to the four guys only two replied that they could go.

" Who is coming may I ask?" Aria looked up " Jeremy and Elena and Ric and Jenna for sure and Damon I think." Elijah shook his head.

" I meant who are we bringing along?" Aria made an O shape with her mouth.

" Lewis and Mark!" Elijah nodded. Aria changed and got into the car.

The funeral was hard. Too many people were crying any who wasn't family was there. Almost everyone knew Stefan.

Red Bull pulled Aria aside for a minute Elijah watched as they spoke to her and she broke down.

The car ride back was silent she was trying to hide she cried by not looking at me. " What is a matter Aria?" We arrived at the house. Aria went inside and broke down again.

" It's all my fault! I caused the crash to happen! I'm to blame for everything!" She sobbed harder.

" Aria it's not your fault what could've made you think that?" Aria stoped crying for a minute.

" They told me that there was a problem with the engine and that it caught fire but before he could say anything to us you saw him and saw the smoke and he accidentally hit you and you hit Lewis! It was my fault if I checked the engine again then Stefan would be here! I wouldn't feel like this!" Aria dropped to the floor crying.

" Feel like what?" Elijah asked as he cupped Aria's cheek and wiped away the tears.

" I feel lonely and lost and angry and I feel like I-I think I feel like I love you." The love you part of her sentence came out barely a whisper, Elijah still heard it though.

" You love me?" Aria nodded. Their foreheads touched Aria stoped crying.

They were all ready to go to Mystic Falls they should go, but instead Elijah kissed Aria and Aria Kissed back.
