"I'm heading to bed," Aomine announces as he tears off his shirt and chucks it across the room.

"Yeah, yeah, that's great," Shizu waves him off as she continues her work on her computer. Aomine sighs. Seeing her work so hard every night without taking a break is even tiring for him. She's so passionate about her goal to write her own music that she'll stay up past midnight all the time just to finish a new song. Sometimes Aomine drifts off to sleep waiting for her, and in the morning she'll already be back on the computer. He hasn't had a nice moment with her in weeks.

The love-deprived basketball player climbs into bed on the closest side to Shizu and plays out his usual routine. Staring at the back of her head, he patiently waits out when she'll take a break from pounding at the keyboard. When her hands finally detach from the technology, he whines, "Shizu, come on to bed. You've done enough typing for tonight."

Shizu sighs at him, running her hands through her hair. "I know, I just... need to finish this song." Her posture falls and she drops her hands. "It wouldn't take me this long if I just had some ideas."

"Come on," Aomine persuades, making Shizu turn around. "There's a spot for you under the sheets right next to me." He shoots a little wink at her.

Her expression deadpans. "That's charming, Daiki, but I need to get this done." Aomine groans at her response and she continues to smack the keyboard.

Hours pass, and Aomine's still complaining to Shizu about being lonely in bed. She makes the same excuse that she needs to finish what she's working on, but Aomine persists. This night, he's not giving up that easily.

"Shizu, you've been typing so long that it's tomorrow," he says.

"It can't be tomorrow; only today," Shizu retorts, eyes not leaving the computer screen.

"You get what I mean." Aomine tosses and turns in the bed. "You're gonna be too tired to do anything."

"I could say the same for you," Shizu says as she finally turns in the swivel chair, away from her work. "If you're staying up all night waiting for me, you'll get too tired to play basketball."

Aomine groans in defeat, "Just come sleep and pick up your work later. It's not going anywhere."

"Daiki, please. Every time you make me stop to talk I forget what I'm doing." She focuses on her work again. "I'm so close to coming up with something decent, it's annoying."

Ten minutes pass, and Aomine is so fed up with Shizu he loses his patience. Completely annoyed, he takes a pillow from out beneath his head and throws it at the workaholic. Shizu doesn't react, just gives a slight scowl and continues. Aomine throws another pillow, and this one bounces off of the keyboard. He doesn't think he'll get a reaction, and is about to throw a third pillow when Shizu's chair slowly begins to turn in his direction.

"Daiki, I thought I made myself clear when I said I intended on finishing my work," Shizu says in an eerily calm voice. "Do I need to remind you of that?"

Aomine raises the pillow in his hand over his head, about to throw it.

"That better not leave your hand."

They don't call him a basketball miracle for nothing. The pillow arches over Shizu's head and drapes itself right over her computer screen. Shizu takes a deep breath. "Daiki, you have no idea how bad I want to hurt you right now." She's looks as if she's about to use the force to strangle him, but then lets go of the breath she was holding. "I'm too tired."

"So come to bed now," Aomine says with a smirk.

"No, I really want to finish this," she says, turning back to the computer.

"So now you just want to finish it?" Aomine asks. "You don't need to?"

Shizu sighs. "I do, I just-- I don't need to explain this to you. Let me work."

"You can't shake me off that easily, Shizu." Aomine gets out of bed and leans over her. "Look at the time."

Shizu glares at the digital clock keeping time on the desk. She shrugs. "I've stayed up later than this. It's barely even two in the morning."

"The point is-" Aomine turns her chair around to look at him "-it's late." He gives her a pleading look that she can't refuse.

"Alright, I'll go to bed," Shizu gives in. "Let me just write down what I need to remember to finish when I wake up." Before she can grab anything, Aomine lifts her up by her arms and drags her off of the chair. "Daiki! What are you doing?"

"Not letting you get caught up in your work again," he states. "You agreed to come to bed, so I'm making you."

"Daiki, I just need to write down a few things to jog my memory later." He lowers her arms from the awkward position, but doesn't let go of her hands. "I'll come to bed in a second." Reluctantly, he lets go. Shizu finds a pen and some paper that's sitting atop the desk, scribbles a few things, mumbles something about Aomine not being her father, and turns off the monitor.

"Alright, I'm done-- What?! Daiki!" Aomine throws her onto his shoulder. "Hey, put me down!" She swats at his bare back as he goes around, picking up the pillows he threw earlier.

Aomine tosses the pillows and the angry woman onto the mattress. "What was that for?" Shizu asks. "I can walk myself."

"It was more fun," he says, climbing back into the bed. "I haven't had that much fun with you in awhile."

It's about at this point where Shizu registers the fact that Aomine is desperate for attention.

"Oh, Dai-chan," she teases. "You just want to hear me tell you how much I love you."

"Tch, maybe," he grunts, looking away. Shizu moves closer to him, wrapping her leg around his.

"I'm sorry I neglected you, my Dai-chan," she says with a pout. "How can I make it up to you?"

Aomine cracks a concerning smirk. "Well, I would say something pervy, but that'll have to wait.

"Right now, I just want to sleep."

I'm not ashamed of that picture. ^~^
