Chapter 20: Getting down and dirty

*Ryoba and Hideshi talk and meet up with Sans and Papyrus while Frisk gets dressed on her little mission with her adopted mother to the school. Then Sans shows up from the closet.*

Sans: Sup kid.

Frisk: Ayy, Sans! How's meeting my old folks eh?

Sans: Yea... about that... I... don't really trust them

Frisk: Come on Sans.

Sans: Hear me out... well actually. I mostly don't trust your mother.

Frisk: what could she have done that could possibly make you not trust her?

Sans: well rumor has it she went to the same school as you and good old Yan Chan. While she was there she was framed and put on trial for murder. After said trial some dude went missing for the past few months. At the end he was found and claimed to be in a romantic relationship with the girl who was put on trial.

Frisk: So what. Listen Sans, I vowed to never start a fight with anyone unless it means to protect me, my friends, and even my enemies. Just because your assumptions says that the person that cared for me for I don't even know how long is untrustworthy doesn't mean I should treat her like someone who had killed somebody before.

*Suddenly Ryoba shows up.*

Frisk: *Sigh* nothing mom. I'm ready when you are.

Ryoba: Alright, time for some mother daughter bonding!

Frisk: Can't wait!

*Frisk gets into Ryoba's car and they drive off to the school.*

Frisk: So... what's the top secret mission?

Ryoba: Let's just say we're... borrowing a yearbook that was made in the year 1989.

Frisk: Isn't that... stealing.

Ryoba: Stealings a bit of a strong word... remember, we're borrowing.

Frisk:... alright...

Ryoba: Now... you're gonna go into the guidance office, you'll go and distract the guidance counselor, I'll sneak in snag the book, and when you get an opening, leave the school as soon as possible. Got it?

*Frisk does as she was told. She goes to the Guidance Counselor and asks her a question.*

Genka: Frisk? What are you doing here so late?

Frisk: um... I was here to ask you... what's the meaning of life?

Genka:... well that is an answer that involves a bit of questioning as well. Like...

*As Genka kept talking, ryoba sneaks in, Grabs the book, and leaves.*

Genka:... You also need to factor in who is the real enemy in society today a-

Frisk: Thank you Sensei, I think a got a good idea on what the meaning of life is.

Genak: Happy to help.

*Frisk leaves and meets up with Ryoba with the yearbook.*

Ryoba: Guess what mommy grabbed a hold of!

Frisk: Yes! Let's take a look.

*Frisk and Ryoba takes a look at the yearbook and sees a specific girl.*

Ryoba: That's your mother. Alison Reno. Her and I were great friends back then until she moved back to the U.S.

Frisk: You knew her!?

*Ryoba nods yes.*

Ryoba: we go way back.

Frisk: why did she leave?

Ryoba: No one knows. All she did was tell me to meet her at the beach. I went there and that's when I saw you.

*Frisk then gets a flashback.*

Allison and Ruluko: HAPPY BIRTHDAY!

*The happy birthday song plays.*

Allison: Aw. Our little girl is already having her first birthday! *Sniffs* I can already see her in college.

Ruluko: Calm down

Allison: *Fake crying* Oh. I'm going to loose my baby!

Ruluko: Relax honey. Let the baby open her presents.

*baby frisk unwraps her present and pulls out the same bear that Hanako gave to frisk present day.*

Allison: You got a teddy!

Baby frisk: Daisy.

Chara: (wait... the letter said that she was on a family vacation...? This doesn't add up.)

Ryoba: another place I might suggest is the abandoned kindergarten. Might have something you might be interested in.

Frisk: Alright.

*ryoba and Frisk ride off toward the kindergarten.*
