Okay this is my first, and official properly written story. I'll try to make it as interesting as possible. I'm just looking for a genre I'm good at writing, so I was like, 'Hey! Maybe I'll try teen fiction.'
I will properly edit this book once it's done, so please don't complain about errors and typos.

Chapter 1: If It Had Gone My Way
"I'm not really excited to go back to school. I mean, last year was like a dog's rear. Unpleasant, not good to look at, and... it smells funny. What'll make this year anymore different?" I held my phone to my ear, picking at my nails as I absentmindedly looked around my somewhat tidy room.
"What won't make it different? You have another chance to make a reputation for yourself. Stop people from just messing around with you and such, and tell them off if they verbally hurt you. You can also do something new this year. Join a club, make new friends, there's a lot of things to do." She spoke.
"You're right. I want this to be the perfect year. It's easier said than done. What am I supposed to do? It won't be a perfect year, though I sure hope it'll be." I smiled, thinking of all the new ways the year could go well.
"What 'something new' are you doing this year?" I asked, genuinely interested to know what she would do. Maybe it'll inspire me on something.
"I don't know. I plan on joining the girls soccer team. I've been practicing my butt off this summer. At home, I plan on doing new hobbies like writing stories and stuff." I could almost hear the smile in her voice. She's always had an interest in writing stories. I didn't care for it much. But maybe because I don't know how to make a good story. I would probably think of the greatest plot ever, and while I'm writing, it would make sense and would be good, but after a while, I'd just be doing random things that don't even have connections to the main plot.
"That's great! I'll think of something new to do, but for now I'm just gonna make myself a sandwich. I'll talk later, bye!" I said, ending the call and throwing my phone on the bed.
I went downstairs to the kitchen, and opened the fridge to look for some ingredients.
What can I do? I know doing something new wasn't that important, but to me it was. I just want a hobby that'll take up my time. All I do here was just eat, sleep, go on my phone, watch, and daydream. I guess you could say I'm such a productive person...
"Ah fudge." I muttered, looking at the disgusting looking sandwich in front of me. I was so caught up in my thoughts, I didn't even acknowledge on what I stuffed in it.
Ew, is that jelly and tuna? My nose scrunched up on the combination, but of course being the weirdo I am, I decided to try it. Let me tell you, tuna and jam certainly do not go together. It was like kissing a tuna fish who wore strawberry lip gloss. Not a pleasant taste.
After my unpleasant tuna kiss fiasco, I decided to take a long hot shower to calm my nerves. It was only 3pm and my parents were gone- as always. My twin brother was probably at his friend's house, and I was here alone like always. My brother would usually be here, but I guess being the popular person he is had stacked up his schedule. We weren't as close like before. Maybe three years ago, before my parents became workaholics, we were glued to the side. But when my parents kind of distanced themselves, I guess it gave him the freedom of doing whatever he wanted.
Everything was so strange in my life. Can't I just have normal, non- workaholic parents and a normal brother. Not that he wasn't normal, but he was just...popular. Then there I was at either the middle or bottom of the social pyramid. I wouldn't say I'm at the bottom really. Maybe a little middle-ish.
