The sounds of laughter erupted the room; except for mine. A small hint of anger ignited in me, but looking at Aiden's figure, with him care-freely laughing at my utter embarrassment prevented my anger. I couldn't get mad. Not at him. Jack on the other hand...

"Jack! You complete weirdo, you're so mean!" Okay, I suck at insulting people, but I don't think insulting people is really necessary- unless they actually do something to piss me off, then I go complete ape shiz on you.

"You should've seen your face!" He dramatically wiped a non-existent tear from his cheek, and deeply breathed in, before throwing his arm around Aiden's shoulder.

"It was all like," then Jack and Aiden mimicked my reaction, their eyes exaggeratedly wide, and their lips quivering simultaneously. Okay... That was creepy.

"I do not look like that!" I defended. "What are you even doing here?" I directed my question to Aiden, but I realized how rude that sounded, and kept talking. "I mean, not to sound rude, but I'm just curious why-"

He cut me off, "No worries. And Jack isn't the only one that owns this, you know. We both built this place, and considering I live next door, I have access to it anytime I want like him." I nodded in understanding, as Jack walked back in holding up three books in his hands. I didn't even notice him leave.

"Do you like, Divergent, The Fault In Our Stars, or The City Of Bones?" He asked, stepping closer to me.

"The Fault In Our Stars?" I giggled, my mind picturing him sitting on his bed, his eyes focused on the Fault In Our Stars scriptures.

"Hey! Don't take me as a stereotype. Besides, if we do choose it, people will think you chose it. Simple as that. Never ever tell anyone I read these kinds of books, though." He pleaded.

"Blackmail." I muttered quietly. Aiden chuckled beside me, but shut up when a jack gave him a look.

"Excuse me?" He raised his eyebrows.

"You're excused." I chuckled. He gave me a menacing look. "I mean, yeah your secret is safe with me." I pretended to zip my lips, and smiled innocently.

"So, which do you choose?"

Once Jack and I chose a book,we went back to Jack's room, and Aiden stuck around as we did our assignment. Jack suddenly stood up, and stared straight at me as he said this: "I'm just going to go to the bathroom. Be right back." He winked at me when Aiden wasn't looking, and left Aiden and I, in a room, all alone, in an awkward silence. Alone. In a room. Silence.

"Um...Hi." Really? Hi? Rebecca, why can't you be one of those people who can keep up a conversation with anyone? Oh how I wish...

Well, he was chuckling, and not running away. So, he doesn't think of me weirdly. Yet.

"So, since we have that music thing together, what kind of music do you like?" He asked, giving me his full attention. He sat on Jack's bed, while I was seated in front of the computer screen.

He looks so gorgeous. Answer! Answer now! "Um...anything really. Just don't pick anything with screaming in them. I don't even know why they're considered music." I told him. He nodded, and another silence fell upon us.

"Do you want to hang out with Jack and I? After we work on our assignment, we'll be going out to get ice cream. Well, right after we go back to that small library in the backyard. Jack promised me that I can look around." I almost squealed.

"Sure." He gave me a close mouthed smile. Why does he have to be so good-looking? I was actually pretty proud that I haven't made a fool out of myself. At that moment, Jack walked back in, walking like he owned the place...which he kind of did- his parents at least.
