"My brother said that we had to get out of the house due to family problems. Since Jess and I had fought at the time, I couldn't really ask her. It'd be awkward to ask Aiden, so I went to Logan instead," I explained, hoping he wouldn't ask questions I didn't want to answer.
"Why Logan?" He pouted, and I resisted a chuckle. I was glad that he isn't asking anything else.
"I don't know. I...don't know," I answered sheepishly. He went to my side, and swung an arm over my shoulder and sent me a smile.
"Just remember, Logan isn't the only one that can be there for you." I grinned, and we walked back to the living room. Aiden was whispering something to Logan, and when we entered, they jumped back in surprise.
"What are you guys up to...?" I asked skeptically, my eyes narrowing at the two culprits.
"Aiden's got a girlfriend!" Logan yelled. I was taken aback by his sudden outburst. When I registered what he said, a frown sketched itself on my face. Logan stared up at me, suddenly noticing. His eyes looked apologetic, but I pretended to brush it off.
"What do you mean?" Jack spoke beside me, pulling me to the couch.
"Aiden found a secret admirer note, then Ashlyn said it was hers," Logan explained.
"Let's see it." Jack stuck his arm out, fingers wiggling and itching to get the note. I, for one, am greatly surprised when I saw Aiden hand a small pink note.
MY small pink note.
"Ooh," Jack mumbled, his eyes furiously scanning the note that I wrote. My hands started sweating, my heart buzzing under my chest. How did he managed to get that? Why would Ashlyn...
Actually, this should be okay. It's not like I was going to give it to him anyways. It's fine!
"She certainly has a way with words," Aiden said, taking the note back.
My words!
"Yeah..." A nervous chuckle escaped my lips, pulling my legs up to cross them. "Right."
I showered, changing to my fuzzy hello kitty pants and a plain black tank top. I came downstairs, telling the other boys that it was their turn.
Once everyone was in their sleeping wear- which the boys' consisted of a plain shirt, and their boxers-we pushed the couches and table aside, making a huge space in front if the television. Jack had brought four sleeping bags, so I sprawled my blue one across the carpeted floor, sighing in contentment. I looked up at the screen watching Inception. Logan was on my right, Aiden on my left, and Jack beside Logan. I threw a piece of popcorn in the air, opening my mouth to catch it, which I did by the way. When I threw another, I shrieked at Logan, nudging him with my elbow when he pushed me aside, catching it in his.
Soon I drifted off to sleep, my vision blurring, my eyelids fluttering shut.
The next morning, I woke up with the sound of the door closing. I jumped from my spot, looking at Logan's form covered by the blanket, Jack sprawled beside me, his hand overlapping on my sleeping bag, and Aiden's were empty, messy and unkept.
I stood up, seeing the clock read ten forty-three. I started panicking, running around the room. We had freaking school today! And where the heck is Aiden? He should-
"Whoa, Rebecca. Stop running around like a beheaded chicken and sit for a second," Jack groaned, rubbing his eyes with his scrunched fists, his dirty blonde hair going in different angles. For a second, I gaped at him. He looked so...
"But we're late! We still have to walk there, and...and-"
"Rebecca, we don't have school today. The teachers are having some kind of meeting day or whatever," Jack yawned, slowly sitting up from his sleeping bag.
