“Hey, Elena,” Jeremy came into the living room where I was sitting with Bonnie and Caroline.
“Hey Jer, sleep well?” I asked, moving over so that he could sit next to me on the couch.
“Yeah. Listen, have you seen Damon today? He said that he’d take Matt and me out for lunch and it’s almost noon.”
I smiled, “Yeah, he told me about that. He said that we were low on blood though so he went to get some from the hospital. He should be back soon.”
“When did he leave though? Because he left with Stefan, and Stefan just got back after stopping at the grocery store.”
“What? He left at 10 AM. If Stefan’s back, he should definitely be here! Stefan!” I called, getting up from the couch.
“Yes, Elena?” Stefan walked into the living room and sat next to Caroline.
“Damon’s still not back from the hospital and you two went together.”
“What? He and I left the hospital at the same time. I just had to make another stop. He said he was going straight home!” Stefan looked panicked, “This isn’t good…we need to get to the hospital. If security caught him, they would have used vervain right away.”
“Oh my god…” I started dialing Liz Forbes’ number, “Hi Sherriff Forbes, yeah it’s Elena. We think hospital security might have taken Damon…can you please make sure they don’t hurt him?”
I put the phone down and got up frantically, “We have to get over there now!”
“Okay, okay let’s go. Caroline? Jeremy, Bonnie you coming?” Stefan asked.
“Yes, let’s go, now!” Jer said.
We all got into the van and sped to the hospital.
“I swear, if they’re hurting him…” I clenched my fists, a tear escaping my eyes.
“Shh, Elena, it’ll be okay. We’ll get him out, promise,” Stefan said from the driver’s seat.
I pulled out my phone and tried Damon’s once more.
“Hello,” an unfamiliar voice said on the other line.
“Who is this? What have you done with Damon Salvatore?” I said, angrily.
