“I can’t wait to take you shopping here, and god the food is going to be so good…I can taste the French cuisine already! And Damon, can we go walking on Champs Elysees – it’s so beautiful…how about at midnight when all the lights will be shining and it’ll be so romantic! What do you think, Da – ”

“Come here, Elena!” Damon laughed, picking me up in his arms and silencing me with his lips as he kicked the door of our hotel room closed.

I giggled, “Damon! Damon, stop…” He tickled me as he carried me to the bed.

“I’m going to take you to see all those things, I promise,” Damon said while he took off his leather jacket and placed it on the chair.

I was sitting on the edge of the bed, grinning away at the vampire who pushed me onto my back gently so that his lips could trail sweet kisses all over my body, which craved his touch and always would.

“But first,” Damon added between kisses, “I have to show you something else.”

                I smiled, “Is that right?”

He just crushed his lips to mine in response.

“Damon,” I sighed, before I pulled him right up against me and adjusted our positions so that his head was resting on a pillow and he was underneath me.

Damon smirked, “I like it when you get feisty and take charge.”

“Shut up and kiss me,” I smiled, leaning down to kiss his lips which had also turned up in a smile.

“I have a feeling I’m going to love this trip,” Damon said after I had finished kissing him.

“Mmm, me too,” I responded when he pulled me underneath him playfully, making me laugh.

An hour or so later, we heard a knock at the door.

“I’ll get it!” I sang to Damon, who was looking for some nice music to play on the hotel television, after I quickly finished drying my hair.

I opened the door to one of the hotel waiters, who smiled “Your room service, ma’am.”

I smiled at the sight of the steak and potato meal Damon had ordered for dinner, along with the two brightly-lit candles and roses in the centre of the table.

“Thank you,” I said politely, “Just in here would be great.” I led the waiter to an empty spot near our bed where he rolled the table in and said, “Enjoy.”
