Chapter 4: A Family Reunion

Olivia let go of her cousin from a tight grip she calls a hug. She was over excited about her cousin Cassie visiting again from out of town, at least that's what she thought. Of course, Adam knew better than that and he also knew how naive he's loving girlfriend was. She didn't know about the trouble Cassie Reynolds gets herself into. She wasn't gonna inform Liv, so he had to be the one to let her know before it gets worse.

"What are you doing here? You never called to say you were coming, we would have made some space for you to stay." Olivia said as she and Cassie sat down. Adam rolled his eyes at the offer. "No we wouldn't have. We just don't have the room, sorry." He smiled at her sarcastically as a fluffy pink pillow hit his face. "How about you go clean that guest room now babe." Olivia responded as she rolled her eyes at him.

Adam picked up the pillow sitting it on the love seat before walking to the back, mumbling a few words under is breath as he did so. "Oh, let me call Izzy and we can go get some drinks and talk, it'll be like old times." She took out her phone prepared to message the short and spunky best friend when Cassie stopped her. "Actually, I need to talk to you about something." Before she can finish, Olivia cut her off determined for them to go and do some catching up. "It's Isabelle Cass, whatever you have to talk about you can talk about it with her too." And with that she got up walking into the bedroom to change and call her loving best friend.

Cassie sat there thinking of different ways to tell her cousin that she's a wanted woman and not in a good way. She has a hobby, a little different than other hobbies... Ok allot different that others. She's what some would call a con-artist but to her she's just building character, or that's what she tells herself. "So when are you gonna tell Livy the truth?" Adam rushed back in questioning her without hesitation. Cassie stood up smirking at him. "Which truth would that be Adam?" She questioned back crossing her arms.

"The last time I checked, there was allot she doesn't know. For example, does she know about Europe."  Adam quickly looked behind him to make sure Olivia wasn't coming. He turned back pointing a finger in Cassie's face. "You know what I'm talking about. You think I don't know what you've been up to? Stealing money, coning people, that's a felony Cass and the last I checked I was the law. I could put you away." 

She walked closer looking up at him with a glint in her eyes. "But you won't will you? Because as soon as you do, you know you'll lose her." She looked down at her shoes then back up at him. "You still think about that night? The one in Europe?" Adam shook his head backing away from her. "Stop." She stepped to him every time he stepped away. " Do you think about where your hands have been cause I have. Every night I close my eyes and lay in bed. I think about those hands all over my body, leaving fire with every touch." Cassie closed her eyes as she picture the moment that happened between the two.

She opened her eyes staring at him with a evil smile. "You don't want to gamble your life away Adam, I suggest you stay in your lane." And with that she walked away to find her cousin, leaving Adam to think about the mistake he made.
