Chapter 2
Amanda entered the girls bathroom to see Sophie with no sunglasses and staring at herself dead in the eye in the mirror with her arms stretched out on the counter as far as they could stretch out. She begins to pant as she receives many breif flashbacks about whenever boys had looked at her directly in the eye and fallen in love with her. She was suddenly brought out of her deep,intense thoughts when Amanda asks leaning against the wall with her arms folded,
"What's wrong?"
"What makes you think somethings wrong?" Sophie lied rolling her head back before it returned to its original position looking down at the sink with her eyes closed.
"Whenever your upset or hiding something,you stand in the bathroom like this. What's on your mind?" Amanda questioned.
Sophie let loose of her arms as she turns around leaning against the counter with her arms crossed.
"You really wanna know?" Sophie investigated.
"Yes,I really wanna know." Amanda repeated.
"Listen,ever since I got these eyes,I've been forgetting to put those sunglasses on. Except today of course but...when I forget...boys look at me straight in the eye and fall in love with me. It's like there's more with these eyes. I just can't yet put my finger on it." Sophie explained.
"They have powers." Amanda suggested.
"Nooooo." Sophie stretched out as her voice goes up a little.
"Oh,my,gosh. My eyes have powers." Sophie cluelessy say.
"Oh really? Where'd you hear that?" Amanda sarcastically commented with a snirk as she steps away from the wall and unfolds her arms.
"But this whole 'eyes-with-the-power-to-make-boys-fall-in-love-with-me thing is really making me feel uncomfortable since I'm dating Ethan." Sophie expressed.
