Chapter 5
Austin,Amanda and Ethan were hanging out in the students' lounge when Ethan noticed Sophie in the hall with her heart eyes invisible for all to see underneath her sunglasses. He couldn't help but notice the most popular guy in their grade walk up to Sophie at her locker. The hottest boy at school,Matt,was wearing his basketball varisty letter jacket with his famous brown quiff hairstyle,a simple white tee and boy necklace,jeans and white sneakers. Ethan's eyes burned with jealousy as Matt slammed his hand against the locker causing her to turn around to face his handsome brown eyes.
"You're not still dating that freak,Ethan are you?" Matt started lifting the sunglasses off exposing the heart eyes just as Ethan walked behind the wall to get a closer view of the scene and eavesdropped.
"No...I just broke up with him last night." Sophie informed when her smile fades at the heart breaking memory that hit her like a tumbling wall of bricks.
"Good. That means you're single." Matt flirted gazing to her naked heart eyes.
"You have beautiful eyes." Matt complimented giving Sophie a half smile.He immediantly fell in love with her. Matt had a weird feeling increasing in his heart. He leaned in to kiss her right cheek. The moment his lips met her cheek,she began to blush. She had a crush on him since kindergarten. He never even noticed her before she became popular in kindergarten so he reinvented himself years later to impress her. Ethan stood there full of jealousy and he became slightly suspicious. He saw them hold hands and Matt talking a step closer. You could hear his heart break from the outside. Ethan stepped away from the painful,heart breaking scene thinking they have more sparks between them than there ever was when Sophie and him were dating.
