Chapter 11
Sophie couldn't sleep that night. All she could think about is all the boys forgetting who she is. Then all of a sudden,a painful sting hit her eyes once again but it didn't hurt as much as it did before when they were weekening. Sophie shrugged and ignored it trying to get back to sleep returning to deep thoughts. That morning when she woke up,the slight pain disappeared and Sophie thought,Maybe today will be a better day. When she appeared in her bathroom and began to apply her makeup looking at herself in the mirror,she spotted something quite strange. She leaned over the counter to get a better look at her eyes to see that they were shiny pink and the heart pupils were back. How is this possible? She thought to herself. She quickly got ready for school and rushed out the door and into her car. When she arrived at the school,she stormed over to Ethan in the students' lounge and informed,
"Ethan,I need to tell you something."
"You're heart eyes....they're back." Ethan noticed.
"Yeah,I know they're back. I just don't how that's possible." Sophie utters.
Later during first period in Algebra,Sophie discovered something new with her eyes. They have a different power. Matt walked over to face her in front of her desk putting his hands on it and asked,
"You're making a big mistake dating that weirdo,Ethan. Don't you think you and I were made for each other?"
"No. We have absolutely nothing in common. We're not compatible." Sophie snapped.
"We're both popular,are we?" Matt pointed out.
"You know what? Would you do me a favor and leave me alone?" Sophie snapped again. Without saying a word,Matt left back to his desk.
"He just obeyed me?" Sophie asked to herself in a whisper.
